The NJ State Library has organized a series of free breakfast workshops for the NJ Business Community at libraries across the state.
The first was held at the Somerset County Library headquarters in Bridgewater, with Maria Semple, Principal of The Prospect Finder, teaching the workshop.
The 2-hour breakfast events, bring together NJ business partners and a team of business marketing experts, for a training session on Social Media and Email Marketing, to showcase useful resources for business planning and research. Representatives from participating agencies are onsite to answer questions, and discuss how these resources and programs can help rebuild, improve and grow businesses.
The program is organized in partnership with, Constant Contact, New Jersey Small Business Development Center, Women’s Business Center and SCORE, with guests from the US Small Business Administration, New Jersey Business Action Center, Connecting NJ, and ReferenceUSA, and designed for NJ business owners, small business employees, and aspiring entrepreneurs.

This is another image from the photography lecture I went to last night. Taken with Sony NEX-5. This was shot at ISO 6400 in RAW, converted to Black and White in Aperture 3 and noise reduction with Topaz deNoise 5.

The audience was invited to participate throughout the night. Here an audience member holds the ropes binding a performer dressed in the traditional jilbab worn by Muslim women.

You only have to see the reaction of the audience to see the value of street performers. I loved the looks of surprise, delight and disgust as this street performer squeezed his whole body through the head of a tennis racquet. I think he had just dislocated his right arm to get his shoulders to fit through.

In the front were a group of boys who were in London on a birthday party treat. Their expressions say it all clear to see for all that they had a great time

George "Buddy" Guy (born July 30, 1936 in Lettsworth, Louisiana,) is a five-time Grammy Award-winning American blues and rock guitarist and singer. Known as an inspiration to Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and other 1960s blues and rock legends, Guy is considered an important exponent of Chicago blues.
Eric Clapton said "Buddy Guy was to me what Elvis was for others." and "Buddy Guy is by far and without a doubt the best guitar player alive"
Jimi Hendrix once said that “Heaven is lying at Buddy Guy’s feet while listening to him play guitar.”
Stevie Ray Vaughan once declared that Buddy Guy "plays from a place that I've never heard anyone play."
Jimmy Page said “Buddy Guy is an absolute monster”
Bill Wyman said “Guitar Legends do not come any better than Buddy Guy."
What more needs to be said?
It was a fantastic gig!
