In the year 858 AD the Vikings, with a fleet of more than 60 ships commanded by Hastings and Björn Jaernside, son of the legendary Ragnar Lodbrog, went around the Iberian peninsula, reached the village of Orihuela in eastern Spain and conquered its castle. At that historical moment most of the peninsula was dominated by Muslims who saw with disbelief the arrival of these northern warriors.
Based on this historical moment The Brickstons along with several friends of the LUG ALE built this diorama of the Vikings reaching a village in the south-east of Spain. The diorama was presented at the ALEBricks event held on June 2nd and 3rd, 2018.
The Brickstons Group: Alfonso Abeger (FonsoSac), Pepi Blas, Julio César Cedena, Domingo Hidalgo, Luis López, Emiliano Martínez (Legófito), Victor Martínez (Loko / Nouvilas) and their friends: César Ivan Acero, Luismi Bartolomé, Juan Manuel Boillos, Antonio J. Fernández (Lord Jerome), David Horcajada y David Valderrama have taken part in the diorama.

En el año 858 d.C. los vikingos con una flota de más de 60 barcos al mando de Hastings y Björn Jaernside, hijo del legendario Ragnar Lodbrog, rodearon la península Ibérica, llegaron hasta la población de Orihuela en el este de España y tomaron su castillo. En ese momento histórico la mayor parte de la península estaba dominada por los musulmanes que veían con incredulidad la llegada de estos guerreros del norte.
Basándose este momento histórico Los Brickstons junto con varios amigos del LUG ALE construyen este diorama de los vikingos llegando a una población en el sur-este de España. El diorama fue presentado en el evento ALEBricks celebrado los días 2 y 3 de junio de 2018.

This is a most remarkable incident. I have never seen anything like it. I always thought squirrels were afraid of crows, but this may change my mimd. This is one aggressive squirrel! I guess the only time a squirrel has to worry about a crow eating it, is after the squirrel is run over by a truck! lol
Major Taylor "SNARF" Price does a final fly by before landing and "handing the keys" of the A-10C to the Hagerstown Aviation Museum on September 22, 2025. This marked Maj. Price's final flight with the 104th Fighter Squadron which was decommissioned the following day as part of the Maryland National Guard's 175th Airwing restructuring.

While visiting Senseless_, I became a crazy cat lady and attracted a bunch of neighborhood cats... this was was named Cupcake and was supercute, especially when he (yes, he) saw his reflection in my bumper and attacked.
This is just one of the things we need to contend with in rural New Jersey. Trained attack geese! At first they saw me by the fence and formed up into a patrol. Eventually the leader gave the signal and they were on the move. They stopped short and stood around giving me the eye and honking. I took a few more pictures and then they lost interest and went back to managing the 100-200 Canadian geese on the property.

Spent a morning watching raptors fighting it out for position. Marsh Harrier tried to move on a Buzzard who held his position for some time. Then a sub-adult male Marsh Harrier challenged a full adult & they battled it out for around an hour. Difficult to follow with my camera & some distance away so only record shots

This momma bear was not letting me get any closer, nor was I going any closer as she warned me to stay back. I ran into my car thinking she was after me! I made it safely without becoming bear meal! Later I noticed a tiny cub in the tree.

Another rework of one of my oldies, I guess I listened too much to a few people's comments and not enough on just what I thought back when I originally reworked it. The origional color image has been reworked and replaced as well, but as I was doing it I noticed that a B&W/sepia would look pretty good.
I think that overall this is probably the best picture that I have taken, it was totally accidental, but I don't know if you could even plan to get one like this, you just have to get lucky. I have contemplated quite a bit how this shot actually happened, how it came out so good. I think that the lens that I used had a lot to do with it. Normally you are supposed to turn the IS off for panning shots, and that is definitely true if multiple focus points are used, but I used only the center focus point, with the camera in tracking focus it was able to follow focus on the face, and the IS in the lens helped keep the jitters down. I have noticed that lens to be a big help, with the IS on, for motion shots, as long as only 1 focus point is used and that is the point that is panned. The lens doesn't know the difference between the camera shaking or the object moving, it "thought" that the moving object was in fact camera shake, and because of the single focus point it was only "looking" at the face to determine if the camera was shaking.
Here is the village of Berk that is being under attack from a dragon raid that is seen from the opening sequence of the "How to Train your Dragon" movie.
This also features my 6th and final dragon for my HTTYD Lego film series, as well as all of my other dragons from the movie.
The moc is a little bit overdue since the movie is out already on DVD.
But I continued making this moc since my Nightmare was completed and required a good diorama to make him even better.
The viking teens are tasked with putting out the fires. But they're not so coordinated.
