Here is the village of Berk that is being under attack from a dragon raid that is seen from the opening sequence of the "How to Train your Dragon" movie.

This also features my 6th and final dragon for my HTTYD Lego film series, as well as all of my other dragons from the movie.

The moc is a little bit overdue since the movie is out already on DVD.

But I continued making this moc since my Nightmare was completed and required a good diorama to make him even better.

While everyone is engaging the Nightmare, other dragons such as the Gronckle and Deadly Nadder

steals the viking's food during the confusion.

For the Village Attack I also featured Gobber and his workshop, as well as Stoick.

I have made the Vikings brick-built (hardsuits) because in the film they are featured to be large and muscular from the viking teens.

That way I can keep the viking teens at minifig scale to match the dragons.

This is one nasty piece of work, a Russian Hind on steroids. Extensively upgraded and 2 tons lighter the display pilots tossed this monster around like a stunt plane in a simulated attack after which it landed and deployed a stick of combat troops onto the 'target'. The entire nose of this attack chopper has been completely re-engineered with top drawer avionics and weapon systems. I would not want to be on the wrong end of one of these!

If you catch the movie Blood Diamond at your DVD store you'll see this very machine in action. The South African avionics company that does these upgrades made her available for the shoot. Otherwise she does the South African airshow circuit (I shot her in Cape Town at the bi-annual AAD show) and for testing new systems.

Here is a small COBI Small Army WWII scene. It features a Russian counter-attack to recover a knocked-out T-34/76.

It includes a COBI T-34/76 (Set 2470) and Su-85 (Set 2467). The building is a very basic made from an older COBI Small Army Set 24301.

My second LoR free build of May. Enjoy the story!

It was nightfall before Sir Ian had gathered the rest of his men, mounted up and ridden with the surviving archer, Angus by name, and reached the place where, several weeks before, his men had camped outside the Dunharris gates. "I see you've been busy", said Sir Ian, noting, where once there had been a simple gap in the walls, now stood a hastily constructed fortified gate. "Aye," said Angus. "A few weeks ago we revolted and were able to drive out the Queen's soldiers. Then we quickly fortified the gates for the attack that was sure to come. But the Queen's men came back in much larger force. Some of the fighting men escaped in hopes of retaking the city later, but we were pursued. All were killed except me in a battle, and that's where you came in." "I see." Sir Ian nodded. A plan was quickly formed. Angus, Harrison, Sven, and Ian were to take the main gate and open it for everyone else to charge in. Connor added, "No torches, at least yet. We must preserve the element of surprise as long as possible. We can bring some to light later, though." There was a murmur of assent. The first attack party buckled on helmets and swords, strung bows, and grasped shields. The warriors swiftly but silently snuck through the bushes and snow. The guards at the gates were uneasy. "Dirk, are yeh hearin' something?"

"Ah' dunno. The night shift always makes me jumpy. I heard tell from the regiment near here of a bacon-crazed werewolf around these parts." "Shut up, you." The second guard on the wall snorted as he walked away and hefted his crossbow. The gate guard glanced around again. "Prob'ly just a---ARGH!!" A spear whistled out of the dark and skewered the gate guard, where he dropped, disabled, and moaned in pain. "DIRK!? What 'appened?!" The Garhims grimly rushed out of the bushes. Harrison tossed a grappling hook over the wall. The second guard came running, crossbow raised. "Where did yeh---?" Angus quickly knocked, drew, and fired. The guard toppled with a grunt to the snow-blanketed ground. Sven rushed forward and finished the gate guard with his sword. Harrison was already at the top of the wall. "HEY!! What's goin' on over there?!" said a rough, but distant voice. "Harry, make haste!" SIr Ian urged. several seconds later and the heavy wooden door was opening. The Garhims rushed in, and they heard the sound of footsteps behind as the second body of Garhim troops sped towards the open gate. They were in, but would they successfully take the town?

Sparrowhawk in my neighbours garden. Such honed predators. I was stood on a pair of step ladders to take this shot. Placed them strategically amongst the vegetables in the vegetable patch, slipped and killed a dozen leeks!!

My kitten enjoys attacking carpet under doors. She's nuts.

I was hoping to achieve a minimalist/comedic feet "portrait." I burned the shadows on the right, under the door, and boosted contrast a bit to give it a more mysterious/horror-"esque" feel (if interpreted as such).

The granddaddy of US attack helicopter was the AH-1G HueyCobra, which was developed during the war in Vietnam. The helicopters were mainly used to escort troop-carrying helicopters and to provide close-air support. Over the years newer and more advanced versions of the HueyCobra were developed and the USMC still uses Cobra variants, represented in this picture by the currently most numerous model: the AH-1W SuperCobra (on the right). The US Army went in a different direction. They continued to use Cobras for many years after the end of the war, but what they really needed was a counter for the vast numerical superiority in tanks and armour of the Warsaw Pact. The AH-64 Apache, shown on the left, grew out of this.

Crows love harassing raptors, particularly eagles. A gang of crows started bothering this sub-adult until it took off. Here, one of the crows is close behind the eagle.
