La hormiga atómica. Es increíble la fuerza y capacidad de trabajo en grupo que tienen las hormigas. Los seres humanos tenemos mucho que aprender de estos pequeños insectos.

Lo escuché en una ocasión a un técnico que, denominó al color naranja, como “eléctrico”, disertando sobre adecuación de ambientes, desde entonces, no dejo de mirarlos de reojo según circunstancia, y cada vez me parece que hay cierta relación, quizá no por ninguna ciencia, posiblemente influya más las asociaciones que cada uno hace del color de las emociones propias. En fin, este verano me pareció al menos “inquieto”, al ver este vistoso par.

Sadly, there was originally a polished steel sphere within Atom that reflected the entering light, but this was stolen in 2012, leaving just a stump.
Wycoller, Lancashire
This is one of five panopticons’ scattered across East Lancashire.
It was the winner of an international competition for panopticons organised in 2003
Pendle's Panopticon, 'The Atom', rests on the hillside above Wycoller village.
Constructed in ferro-cement with a surface coating of metal-based paint, it is both a striking contemporary viewing point and shelter from which to enjoy Pendle's glorious scenery, and an intriguing and beautiful object which can be viewed from afar.
From inside, its circular viewing spaces frame spectacular views of the surrounding countryside’

The Atom is one of four pieces of large scale public sculpture in and around Burnley, Lancashire. The Atom itself overlooks Wycoller Country Park.

This is actually a plant, I took a macro shot and after viewing it I thought it looked like a collection of either Atoms or a Virus. I like how this gave me a creepy feel, as if to be afraid of it. I'd love to have a go again and get this flower back into scale and try to get more in the frame, as to also try alternative angles that could be quite cool.
This was taken with the kit lens 18-55mm.
