Astra HD9 8x4 tipper emerging from a road tunnel that was first built for the railways to carry marble away from the mountain quarries.
Astra H & K SRi Comparison shot. The H was notable for being quite a late one and in rather better condition than most seem to be nowadays.
The new rocket in town launched by Astra Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 3 pm, looked good on the ascent but experienced an "issue during today's flight that resulted in the payloads not being delivered to orbit."
Echoing Chris Hadfield, "[s]paceflight is so unforgivingly difficult."
I thought that due to the Fall of Cadia it was just the right time to pay some attention to other AM regiments. Not all of them, of course. I left a couple for the next time.
These were made a few days before my laptop was fried, I'm just glad most of my files survived this. Unfortunately, renderers are not my priority ATM, as I have tons of other programs to reacquire.

That’s just me. Sometimes things happen all around me, seasons change, the world moves on, people move on or out around me and I just stay static, clueless and ignorant. Sometimes I open my eyes and move along. Sometimes I even find myself in the lead even if I was too slow to take the first step. I’m afraid of changes. But they have always turned out for the best.
One thing I realized during those hours while we sat there looking at the light of the stars, that light from the past, was the definition of contentment: watching at the shooting stars I could think of nothing to wish for. Everything I needed was right there with me, everything that really mattered was already true…

About the Shot:
Star trail photography done with the “stacking multiple exposures” method. 30 four minute shots stacked in "lighten" layer mode over a base shot where the foreground was illuminated with a flashlight.
I took two alternative base shots, one without me and one in which I posed for 2 of the 4 minutes of the exposure (longest 2 minutes of my life!), which explains why my knee –being backlit- looks semi-transparent.

Passada com esse esmalte! Recebi ele no começo do ano, quando a Shirley me enviou a caixinha com a nossa troquinha, vi que ele era promissor, mas não sabia que fosse tão lindo! AMO esmalte nesse estilo: roxo bem escuro e com brilhos lindos desse jeito.
Pra ficar mais lindo ainda, ele é extremamente pigmentado, super tranquilo de limpar e tem os brilhinhos bem evidentes tanto nas unhas quanto no vidro. Tenho pavor de esmalte que tem todo esse ~charme~ no vidrinho e quando passa nas unhas perde o encanto. Se deu super com o Poshe, não encolheu nem nada do tipo. \o/
Reclamação: assim como a maioria dos esmaltes europeus, o bonito não tem nome, apenas número. Mas quem se importa quando o esmalte é perfeito assim? *_*
Nos comentários tem foto dazunha no sol tb, acho que os brilhinhos talvez fiquem mais evidentes assim.

The Astra Folk Civilization Museum is located south of Sibiu in the middle of a 1,000 ha park, with a lake around which are installed various original buildings. The museum project is the brainchild of Romulus Vuia in 1940, but he could not be done until 1963.Over 300 country houses were brought here from all over the country, with the original furnitures, tools and former transport and help us to imagine the lifestyle of the inhabitants and their activities, agriculture, livestock, beekeeping, fishing and hunting. A special area is reserved for different operating modes of the former mills (hand, wind, water, animals).

I've not done this for a while, so a bit of a fleet update on my cars.
First up, the Astra. This one has done a lot of miles in a very short space of time this year, with trips to London, Redditch and all the way up to Stornoway. That trip alone accounted for an additional 1k on the clock in a week.
It has needed a little attention though. There was a slight oil leak from the filter seal, which was easily sorted. At around the same time one of the rear door mechanisms broke and needed replacement, but unfortunately the part took over 6 weeks to arrive, which was a bit annoying. After an oil change, I also renewed the air filter and wipers and had two new front tyres fitted. It's been fine ever since.
