Wikipedia reports, "A nymph (Greek: νύμφη, nymphē) in Greek mythology and in Latin mythology is a minor female nature deity typically associated with a particular location or landform. Different from goddesses, nymphs are generally regarded as divine spirits who animate nature, and are usually depicted as beautiful, young nubile maidens who love to dance and sing; their amorous freedom sets them apart from the restricted and chaste wives and daughters of the Greek polis. They are believed to dwell in mountains and groves, by springs and rivers, and also in trees and in valleys and cool grottoes." And in sea caves! - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nymph

Welcome to your epic hero's journey! The beautiful 45surf goddess hath called ye to adventure, beckoning ye to read deeply Homer's Iliad and Odyssey, whence ye shall learn of yer own exalted artistic path guided by Hero's Journey Mythology. I wouldn't be saying it if it hadn't happened to me.

PRETTY! Canon 5D Mark II Photos of Beautiful Blonde Swimsuit Bikini (Green One Piece Swimsuit!) Model Goddess with Pretty Blue Eyes in a Sea Cave !

Some video of the goddess:

She was tall, thin, fit, and very pretty with long, blonde hair and blue eyes! From Sweden!

The Canon EOS 5D Mark II EF 24-105/4L IS USM was my workhorse until I got the Nikon D800 & D800E with the 70-200 mm 2.8 VR2 zoom.

Canon, Nikon, you can't go wrong with the pretty 45surf model goddesses! (Though the D800 is my new love.)

May the goddess inspire ye along a hero's journey of yer own making, and the path of yer own taking.

Was a classic socal autumn morning with a bright, blue, sunny sky! Hope the photos make you feel like you were there! :)

A Gold 45 Goddess exalts the archetypal form of Athena--the Greek Goddess of wisdom, warfare, strategy, heroic endeavour, handicrafts and reason. A Gold 45 Goddess guards the beauty of dx4/dt=ic and embodies 45SURF's motto "Virtus, Honoris, et Actio Pro Veritas, Amor, et Bellus, (Strength, Honor, and Action for Truth, Love, and Beauty," and she stands ready to inspire and guide you along your epic, heroic journey into art and mythology. It is Athena who descends to call Telemachus to Adventure in the first book of Homer's Odyssey--to man up, find news of his true father Odysseus, and rid his home of the false suitors, and too, it is Athena who descends in the first book of Homer's Iliad, to calm the Rage of Achilles who is about to draw his sword so as to slay his commander who just seized Achilles' prize, thusly robbing Achilles of his Honor--the higher prize Achilles fought for. And now Athena descends once again, assuming the form of a Gold 45 Goddess, to inspire you along your epic journey of heroic endeavour.

A Gold 45 Goddess guards the wisdom of dx4/dt=ic -- my physics theory which appears on all the 45surf clothes. Yes I have a Ph.D. in physics! :) You can read more about my research and Hero's Journey Physics here:

herosjourneyphysics.wordpress.com/ MDT PROOF#2: Einstein (1912 Man. on Rel.) and Minkowski wrote x4=ict. Ergo dx4/dt=ic--the foundational equation of all time and motion which is on all the shirts and swimsuits. Every photon that hits my Nikon D800e's sensor does it by surfing the fourth expanding dimension, which is moving at c relative to the three spatial dimensions, or dx4/dt=ic!

May the Hero's Journey Mythology Goddess inspire you (as they have inspired me!) along your own artistic journey! All the Best on Your Epic Hero's Journey from Johnny Ranger McCoy! Catch those photons as they surf the fourth expanding dimension!

Acropolis

Acropolis means 'Sacred Rock' and was a term given to the high strong holds of cities in the ancient world

Although many cities have an acropolis, most people associate the term with this most famous one

In this view we can see the Parthenon dominating the view in the center, on the bottom left is the

theather known as the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. The hill in the background is Lykavittos Hill

Above the Odeon on the left is the entrance to the Acropolis known as the Propylaea

On the way up to the entrance, these two stand alone Corinthian columns can be seen

Monuments were erected on these columns to celebrate winners of Drama contests

This is a section of the Propylea, which means simply gate building.

Built around 435 BC it was never completely finished

This is the view from the top down to the Theatre of Dionysus Eleuthereus

Located on the southern cliff face of the arcopolis, it was the first stone theater ever built

The Odeon of Herodes Atticus is also located on the southern slope

Built in 161 AD it was 3 stories high with a wooden roof and could seat 5000 people

The parthenon. One of the greatest buildings in history

Work began in 447 BC and was completed in 431 BC

This picture shows the West facade of the building

A closeup of the west facade

Much of the detail has been lost but some carvings can be seen in the second level

Sonya and John in front of the east side of the Parthenon

A close up of the long south side of the Parthenon

In 1687 the Parthenon was massively damaged by an explosion. In one of history's greatest acts of stupidity the Turks used the Parthenon as an ammunition dump which blew up during a bombardment by the Venetians. Curses on both their houses

This building is called the Erechtheon. It was constructed from 421 BC to 407 BC during the Peace of Nikias between Athens and Sparta during the disastrous Peloponnesian wars

This section is known as the Porch of the Caryatids with the famous six ladies holding up the roof

Another view of the Caryastids. All these are reproductions. "lord" Elgin stole one of the statues to Britain which is now in the British museum. The remaing five have been relocated to the Acropolis museum

A further out view showing the whole building complex.

This is all located on the north side of the Acropolis

This is a photograph from the Clane and Rathcoffey Parishes annual 10KM and 5KM Road Races and Fun Runs which were held in Clane village, Co. Kildare, Ireland on Sunday 19th of October at 14:30. This year's event follows on from the very successful staging last year (see link to photographs below). The organisers offer both a 5km and 10km race and the event provides an opportunity for runners, joggers, and walkers of all abilities to take part in the event. The 5KM has a particular emphasis on family entrants. There was a wonderful atmosphere around the Village as both races started and finished on the main street outside the parish hall. The directly out-and-back routes provided an opportunity for a fast time on a good course and made for a great finish line atmosphere as runners, joggers, and walkers crossed the line. Great praise must be extended to the whole organising committee who organised a very efficiently run event. The events provide some runners with an opportunity to have a final race effort session in the week leading up to the Dublin City Marathon.

Event Management and Electronic Timing was provided by Irish company Precision Timing. Their website is here with links to results from the race www.precisiontiming.net/result/racetimer

This photograph is part of a larger set of photographs taken at today's event. Photographs were taken at the start, 400 meters gone, 400 meters to go, 1km gone, and at the 9KM/4KM mark. The URL of the full set of photographs is www.flickr.com/photos/peterm7/sets/72157636717081724/

Overall Race Summary and Logistics

Participants: There were about 200 competitors combined in the two events.

Weather: The weather was very changeable for all of the events. During the 10KM race there was a heavy rain shower around the area of the 6KM mark but this didn't actually fall in the town. There was a strong headwind against competitors in the 10KM on the return part of the course between 6KM and 8KM.

Race Course:

This summary includes information on both the 5KM and 10KM races.

Both races start in the same place - just outside the Race HQ on the main street of the town. The races then proceed north eastwards out the Dublin Road towards Straffan and Celbridge. Just after 400 meters the races take a left up a small local road and proceeds along this road until it takes a tight left hand turn at the end of the lane at Capdoo goo.gl/maps/aPo26 (Google Streetview). The route proceeds until it shortly meets the Clane-Kilcock Road - College Road R407 goo.gl/maps/SGcPa. Both races will divert into Clane Business and Industrial Park goo.gl/maps/EQMf0 . The 5KM turns around and returns on the same route to the finish. However the 10KM race continues (taking a left) back onto College Road. Soon afterwards it passes the famous entrance to Clongowes Wood College on the right the race takes the next left (goo.gl/maps/zUhrJ) and brings runners onto the road known locally as the 'Long Road' (R408 Between Rathcoffey and Prosperous) at this point goo.gl/maps/fHKr2. The race proceeds northward until runners meet the Clane Kilcock Road once again. With the exception of the partial run into the Industrial Estate the race returns to the finish on the main street in Clane via the same route as the outward part of the route.

Location Map:

Clane Parish Hall (Race HQ) goo.gl/maps/MgakJ

Start and Finish Location of both races goo.gl/maps/0wiZp

Refreshments:

There was a really wonderful array of refreshments provided in the parish hall after the race for all participants.

Can I use these photographs directly from Flickr on my social media account?

Yes - of course you can. Flickr provides several ways to share this and other photographs in this Flickr set. You can share to: email, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Tumblr, LiveJournal, and Wordpress and Blogger blog sites. Your mobile device will also offer you several different options for sharing this photo page on your social media outlets.

How can I get full resolution copies of these photographs?

To prevent missue of these photographs there is a watermark embedded into the images. All of the photographs posted here on this Flickr set are available free, at no cost, at full image resolution without the watermark. We take these photographs as a hobby and as a contribution to the running community in Ireland. Our only "cost" is our request that if you are using these images without the watermark: (1) on social media sites such as Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitter,LinkedIn, Google+, etc or (2) other websites, blogs, web multimedia, commercial/promotional material that you must provide a link back to our Flickr page to attribute us.

This also extends the use of these images for Facebook profile pictures. In these cases please make a separate wall or blog post with a link to our Flickr page. If you do not know how this should be done for Facebook or other social media please email us and we will be happy to help suggest how to link to us.

Please email petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com with the links to the photographs you would like to obtain a full resolution copy of. We also ask race organisers, media, etc to ask for permission before use of our images for flyers, posters, etc. We reserve the right to refuse a request.

In summary please remember when requesting photographs from us - all we ask is for you to provide a link back to our Flickr set or Flickr pages. You will find the link above clearly outlined in the description text which accompanies this photograph. Taking these photographs and preparing them for online posting does take a significant effort. We are not posting photographs to Flickr for commercial reasons. If you really like what we do please spread the link around your social media, send us an email, leave a comment beside the photographs, send us a Flickr email, etc.

If you would like to contribute something for your photograph(s)?

Many people offer payment for our photographs. As stated above we do not charge for these photographs. We take these photographs as our contribution to the running community in Ireland. If you feel that the photograph(s) you request are good enough that you would consider paying for their purchase from other photographic providers we would suggest that you can provide a donation to any of the great charities in Ireland who do work for Cancer Care or Cancer Research in Ireland.

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:

►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera

►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set

►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone

►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.

Don't like your photograph here?

That's OK! We understand!

If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.

I want to tell people about these great photographs!

Great! Thank you! The best link to spread the word around is probably www.flickr.com/peterm7/sets

NRCS Associate Chief Louis Aspey visited Oregon in June 2023 to meet with NRCS' National Water and Climate Center (NWCC) and NRCS Portland Data Collection Office (DCO) staff, both part of the Snow Survey and Water Supply Forecasting (SSWSF) Program. Cara McCarthy (NWCC Water and Climate Services Team Lead), Melissa Webb (NWCC Water and Climate Monitoring Team Lead), Sean Fleming (Portland DCO Supervisory Hydrologist) and Matt Warbritton (Portland DCO Hydrologist) visited the Mt. Hood Test Site SNOTEL (snow telemetry) site with Associate Chief Aspey to highlight the work of the SSWSF Program and its extensive mountain hydroclimatic monitoring network with more than 900 SNOTEL sites in the western U.S.

The NWCC is located in Portland along with the Portland Data Collection Office, which is part of NRCS Oregon. The NWCC and 12 western states including Alaska, administer the SSWSF program. The NWCC is primarily responsible for producing water supply forecasts and other hydroclimatic products, while state snow survey programs disseminate those products and data, in addition to maintaining the monitoring network. The Portland DCO’s operational area covers Oregon, Washington, and a part of northern CA, overseeing 156 SNOTEL sites and nearly 150 other monitoring stations. Standard SNOTEL sites have a snow pillow to measure snow water content, temperature sensor, precipitation gage, snow depth sensor, and a shelter to house equipment. Some sites have additional sensors for soil moisture, net radiation, wind, and relative humidity. Data from these sites are used in a variety of ways apart from water supply forecasts including for climate research, flood management, wildfire research and risk assessments, hydroelectric operations, ecological management, and more.

southernnationalist.com/blog/about-snn/

Southern Nationalist Network (SNN) was created in the Fall of 2010. Those associated with this website believe that the Southern people constitute a historic and truly national population which, like every nation of people, has a natural and unalienable right to self-determination. SNN advocates the peaceful establishment of Southern independence.

We believe in the now world-famous and often repeated words penned by the great Southerner Thomas Jefferson in 1776 that people “are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.” Self-determination is the ultimate political manifestation of the right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” that Jefferson wrote about in his Declaration of Independence. Thus, we believe in the right of secession.

Southerners in various parts of the historical region they call home have enjoyed their own independent state(s) several times in history, the most well-known of which was 1861-65 when they were invaded and ultimately conquered by the United States for practicing their right to self-determination. The South is easily the most distinctive region of the United States. This is because the South is more than a region, it is an occupied nation of people with its own unique ethnic groups, religion, culture, dialect, forms of music (which are now world-famous), cuisine, political-economy, etc. Being part of the United States has not worked out well for Southerners, as our values are nearly always at odds with what comes out of Washington, DC and with the tone of the general culture across the US as a whole.

The Hamiltonian versus Jeffersonian struggle that began in 1776 still rages between the Jeffersonian South and the Hamiltonian/Keynesian Northeast, Rustbelt and West Coast. If we take the body of evidence as a whole we can see that Southerners are not just a peculiar sub-culture within the United States. Southerners are a nation of their own, as distinctive from New Englanders or Californians as many free nations are from one another. It is in our interests to be free, to govern our own affairs and control our own future.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secession_in_the_United_States

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/League_of_the_South

The League of the South is a Southern nationalist organization, headquartered in Killen, Alabama, which states that its ultimate goal is "a free and independent Southern republic." The group defines the Southern United States as the states that made up the former Confederacy. It claims to be also a religious and social movement, advocating a return to a more traditionally conservative, Christian-oriented Southern culture. It advocates a "natural societal order of superiors and subordinates", using as an example, "Christ is the head of His Church; husbands are the heads of their families; parents are placed over their children; employers rank above their employees; the teacher is superior to his students, etc." The organization is labeled a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center and has been accused of being white supremacist and white nationalist.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neo-confederate

Neo-Confederate is a term used by some academics and political activists to describe the views of various groups and individuals who have a positive belief system concerning the historical experience of the Confederate States of America, the Southern secession, and the Southern United States.
