This assignment was taken because red and green are across from each other on the color wheel. In addition, I likeed the shapes and texture of the red handle. Furthermore, I used the rule of thirds.

This shows the before and after together. I originally took this only to get my settings for the "real" shots I was going to take of my daughter for the "b&w assignment". I would have normally dumped this because he is washed out and his eyes aren't as clear as they need to be. I use Picnik for my pp work. I applied "gritty" then "b&w" (no filters), cropped it and sharpened it.
