Tenants organizing with HOPE Community’s Parks and Power campaign held a forum with candidates for Park Commissioner for the 3rd and 4th districts this evening. Because the parks play an important role in building and sustaining our communities, candidates were asked to grapple with issues of gentrification and housing conditions.
‘We Can Campaign Rajasthan’ organized a state level Youth Assembly 2011 from 28th to 30th December 2011 at Tulasi Sadhana Shikhar and Anuvrat, Rajasamand. 250 youths from 12 districts participated in this annual assembly. These volunteers belong to different religions, castes, categories, sex, age, professions and education levels. Each volunteer is linked with around 300 to 500 Change Makers.
The main objectives of the assembly were to share the change in the volunteers own lives, to learn from each others, to understand the challenges they are facing, and to deepen their understanding about the different dimensions of Violence Against Women and the role of youths in social change.

This room inside of Independence Hall is where the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution were both signed. Later, the room became a shrine to the founding of the nation, proudly displaying the Liberty Bell and original paintings of the Founding Fathers.
