The plans called for hammering finish nails through the top in addition to gluing. I just couldn't bring myself to do it though and have gone with glue only. I'm quite nervous about this! (need to get biscuit joiner)
The top left drawer has also been installed. Piano hinge and magnetic push latch (no handle needed). There will be two more doors eventually.

Assembly Memorial Chairs is a five year touring installation commemorating casualties of the First World War and is curated by artist Val Carmen with the support of the In Flanders Fields Museum in Ypres. The installation consists of five chairs from Passchendaele church,representing each year of the war and a book with the 174,000 names of the First World War casualties of Great Britain and Ireland who fell in Belgium. This book has space where relatives of the dead soldiers can write their story or leave mementos. At Dublin City Library & Archive March 2017.

The Netherlands was the guest 'Focus' country of ARCOmadrid 2012, 15–19 February 2012. With the collaboration of the Mondriaan Fund and the Embassy of the Netherlands in Spain, ARCOmadrid hosted a representation of Dutch art organizations curated by Latitudes.
Sited within a specially-commissioned structure by Dutch artist Jasper Niens and designer Thijs Ewalts, 'The Dutch Assembly' consisted of the accumulation of 30 hourly talks, readings, artists presentations, performances, book launches, in conversations and screenings throughout the five days of the fair. Contributions representing art spaces, research initiatives and individuals formed a series of 'depositions' and dispatches analysing cultural practice and policy from the Dutch perspective, as well as reflections of the artistic links between Spain and the Netherlands.

One step from tinkering towards manufacturing. I got hold of 6 Emtec drives at a reasonable price, so I'll make a batch of drives at once. Too bad the Christmas rally is over.
Landscapes are a living piece of history due to the fact that they showcase where/if the past and present overlap. Assembly Plaza is an exemplar because originally, it consisted of flat, undeveloped land – it was essentially a series of parking lots adjacent from Kmart and Home Depot. People mainly utilized the space to access those stores or to pass through. Nowadays, this has shifted completely into a plaza of outlet stores including Brooks Brothers, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Ralph Lauren. There are several shops and the landscape was completely redesigned to become more inhabitable and useful to people within the community. An apartment building, a Partners Healthcare building, as well as rows and rows of shops were constructed to facilitate action. There is even a park for children, green space for picnics, benches, and several areas wherein people can spend time rather than passing through. This transformation has allowed me to see firsthand how landscapes change throughout time to suit the needs of people.

"Long-Live Prachandapath. Long Live Maoism." Students of Kalikeshwari High School at Turmakhad of Accham district in western Nepal chanting slogans in favor of the the political line propounded by Maoist leader Prachanda and Chinese communistleader Mao Zedong, during a physical exercise session at the school.
