This African White Spot or Spotted Assassin Bug is drinking water from the lip of its dish. That beak-like thing it has is called a 'rostrum'. They can deliver a bee-sting like bite, but usually won't unless directly threatened.

The "final showdown" of the Lent 2009 game of CHAG (Christ's Hospital Assassins Guild) featured a duel between Elizabeth Gardner and Cedric Steele-Perkins. Due to great and lesser degrees of preparation on the part of Elizabeth and Cedric respectively, Elizabeth was crowned the first and ultimately last winner of Assassins at Christ's Hospital.
