My GenCon recap and Top 10 favorite games: levibaer.com/post/95101137850/levis-gencon-2014-recap-and...
After a short introduction to Illegal by the very friendly and competent Asmodee booth team - thank you, Lisa! - we got to play the game with designer Christophe Boelinger in the afternoon.
Every player in Illegal has two roles. He's a supplier of one thing - alcohol, drugs, sports cars, weapons, ... - and searching for another product from the same list. In multiple rounds of real time trading, you try to find as much of your wanted goods as you can, but, and this is important, you may not give away your identity, because going to jail really messes up your satisfaction about trading well.
We played with a group of French guys, and despite minor language barriers we had a blast.
I'm not entirely happy with the need for a game master, but games are short so you can take turns at least.
Absolutely worth trying.

Prototype of Rampage, a game launching from Repos Productions and Asmodee at Essen. LOTS O' RAMPAGING FUN (will post a picture of the board post-Rampage later). :-D Posted with permission of Repos Productions.
Similar to theme to King Of Tokyo, except Rampage involves dexterity skills (hurling of buses, throwing things at buildings and other player monsters, monstrous blowing, etc.), variable player powers, and eating of meeple characters (journalists, military, blondes, etc.).
Highly entertaining to play and watch, plus lots of opportunity for witty trashtalking of one's opponents!

Tried out this game Takenoko by Asmodee Games. It's really original and great.
Friday, day 2 of 4. Another day of attending industry seminars, trying demos of new stuff, and lots and lots of people watching.
Part of my Favorites 2012 Set.

I have a lot of respect for everyone sitting at the fair for four days, I couldn't do it. After half a day or so, I'd start going crazy. So thank you Bruno, Antoine, Piero and Christophe for not running amok after signing the 500th "Für Elfriede" on one of your games. However, my deepest respect and sympathy goes to Eric Azagury: I hope four days of non-stop drawing inside the Concept box lid didn't permanently damage your wrist, because that did look painful.
$20 / Box is a bit worn but game inside is in great condition.
Every edition and reprint of this game has typos, errors, and issues – this is the Ystari edition – I only remember 1 of the 10 cases feeling "broken" due to typos but it is good to be aware of the typos. Unofficial errata for this particular edition that was very useful (be cautious of spoilers when reading!) is here: boardgamegeek.com/filepage/125895/sherlock-holmes-consult...
The most current edition of this game is titled "Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective: The Thames Murders & Other Cases" as its new publisher Asmodee has released other games in the collection that include new cases.

Set of 3 Movement Stands:
The Fleet Movement Stands are designed for use with a variety of outer space related board, and miniatures, games such as the *Twilight Imperium™ board game by Fantasy Flight Games. These clear acrylic stands look awesome and allow you to see through the stand to the board below. Functionally, they allow you to quickly move your space fleets around the board which saves time. Furthermore, they organize and differentiate your units so you can easily identify what game pieces are in space, and what units are on planets. The peg legs are held into place with small rubber "o" rings which means there is no glue needed, and they can disassembled after each use for storage in the original game box!
Set of 3 movement stands

21 mai 2012 : je suis en train de retoucher une photo pour la promotion de la web émission n°4 de "la tête dans le pion". Nicolas était maquillé en zombie pour l'occasion. La photo est trop sympa. Zou, ça sera celle du jour...

The center piece of Seasons by Asmodee. I'd rate it a 5 out of 10 for being interseting to look at, but containing a lot of pointless mechanics.

El príncipe de los demonios, origen del terror en la pareja voladora del Asmodèe de Goya, es el submarino nuclear que pasea nuestros mares.

The Prince of Devils, The nuclear submarine sailing around our oceans is what causes the terror reflected in the flying figures from Goya’s Asmodea.
