Was asked to photograph a Christmas dance recital - always wanted to capture this shot.
These dancers are the most graceful athletes....
p.s. Isn't that dancer in front a dead ringer for Audrey Hepburn?
p.p.s. ISO of 3200 - grainy, but still looks better in lightbox
Thank you!

The original photo is one of rellim's shots.
I could not resist but to ask if I could play with it. Here is the original: www.flickr.com/photos/rellim/124531190/
Thank you Jan!
If you have a photo you would like to see as an OOB, email me! I'd love to work on it for you.

Some people have asked me how I achieve these effects, such as above, on my iphone so I have created a website www.iphoneographycentral.com on which myself and many of the world's leading iphoneographers share our work flows via step-by-step tutorials. When Millie asked my advice the other day on what to do when being chased by a bull, I replied that she ought to run away, as hard and as fast as she could……And to cross her paws for good luck….Because she was going to need it…..Well I never gave it another thought, thinking to myself that will never happen….until today….When I saw Millie being chased by a very angry looking bull with horns that looked as if they could do some real damage if put in the right place….Well one thing for sure, Millie took heed of my advise ….And even remembered to cross her paws…..Which brought her all the luck that she needed as I watched in amazement as the bull turn into Jazz……..Which left me thinking it is no wonder why I love having fun loving Shelties around on our walks…
You will ask: ‘And where are the lilacs?
And the metaphysics covered with poppies?
And the rain that often beat down
filling its words
with holes and birds.’
To you I am going to tell all that happened to me.
I lived in a quarter
in Madrid, with bells
with clocks, with trees.
From there could be seen
the dry face of Castille
like a sea of leather.
My house was named
the house of the flowers, because everywhere
geraniums exploded: it was
a beautiful house
with dogs and little children.
Raúl, you agree?
You agree, Rafael?
Federico, you agree
beneath the earth,
you agree about my house with balconies where
the light of June drowned flowers in your mouth?

I've had several people ask if Porridge has any homes available for rent. I went ahead and made a rental available, and depending on demand, we might be open to creating a few more. ♥

Photo was taken once again at Ravenwold. I cant say thank you enough to Rhi for allowing me to stealth on in and shoot first and ask permission later. lol. Absolutely lovely avatar and an equally beautiful background. I just had to do it.

Same marina as yesterday's posting. This is from the end, towards Oslo. The moonlight was great, even if the moon was not full.
I've decided to keep the flairs and star trails.
If you wonder what's wrong with the reflections, there is a sheet of thin ice a few hundred meters out.
Thanks for stopping by.

I've recently made the step over from processing using Lightroom to using CaptureOne. Thought I'd have a go on one of my own favorites.
(Asker is the place I live. It is roughly 20 km outside Oslo, the capitol of Norway.)

once asked the permission to get in and take picture, I was a bit disappointed that this building didn't offer anything else than that.
This is the Court's Civil justice building of the "Free and Hanseatic city of Hamburg".
Very interesting from the outside, apparently, not_so_interesting inside.
Eventually some treasure may be hidden behind the closed doors which I was not allowed (by explicit request of security) to open

Taken this morning while scouting out waterfalls with my daughter. We came upon this ridge and this was the scene across the way. I liked how you could see the river on each side of the scene....The sun was doing its best to break through the clouds but I was able to get a few shots off before the harsh light took effect

My brother in law started a microbrewery called Bore City Brewing here in Moncton, NB, Canada. This one is called Equilux, it's an American Pale Ale / 5% ABV / 50 IBUs, with mellow West Coast hops. This batch is the first one to be sold in stores. It sold out the same day. The guys asked me to take a cool shot of the beer in its natural elements, so this is it! Salud!
Derdi aşmış.
Derdi aşkmış.
Derdi âşık olmakmış.
Söyleyemez bildiğini
İnleyen bir kamış adı ney..
Derde düşmüş,
Derin halde.
Hâle girmiş her mahalde.
Ehil imiş her ahvâlde.
İnleyen bir kamış adı ney...
Bitmiş bir çemende,
Kimseler girmez.
Huu diyecek diyemiyor,
Üfleyen olmaz.
Ağlamış;
Göz yaşıyla dolmuş hep içi
Kör kuyunun başında yalnız
inleyen bir kamış adı ney.
