Joking aside. I don't know if this ruff male in nuptial plumage responds to the name "Willy". In wildlife, I have seen these funnily dressed birds only from a distance; this one in Münster zoo was very close. However, the environment was not photogenic at all, so I decided to free the bird by releasing it to a nearby nature reserve - at least virtually, by replacing the background 😄
Aside from Fogbound Blues, I also like to dance at Cafe Musique.
The live music is so beautiful there!

A SONG OF ETERNITY IN TIME.
ONCE, at night, in the manor wood
My Love and I long silent stood,
Amazed that any heavens could
Decree to part us, bitterly repining.
My Love, in aimless love and grief,
Reached forth and drew aside a leaf
That just above us played the thief
And stole our starlight that for us was shining.
A star that had remarked her pain
Shone straightway down that leafy lane,
And wrought his image, mirror-plain,
Within a tear that on her lash hung gleaming.
"Thus Time," I cried, '" is but a tear
Some one hath wept 'twixt hope and fear,
Yet in his little lucent sphere
Our star of stars, Eternity, is beaming."

Aside from the lovely framing just adored these two saplings in amongst the conifers. Taken in Hillock Wood, Buckinghamshire.
Columbines are hardy flowers that grow in a range of adverse conditions up to an elevation of 9000 ft, therefore they’re symbols of endurance, perseverance and the willingness to take risks.
It’s Aleksey Navalny’s birthday today.

(And please, no sandwich jokes… all questionable aspects aside, the man has more guts than pretty much all of his fellow citizens combined.)

Among all the locations I went in my italian tour this is one of my favourites. I got in from the back in order to avoid being seen, but the jungle at the backyard was so thick i had some trouble going through. After shooting from all possible angles I still had some time left, so I stood there for a while, just staring and enjoying all those magnificent paintings which, for just one day, were displaying their beauty for me only.
Aside from not being as crowded early in the morning, the early morning sun offers some very nice lighting as it shines though Grand Central Terminal.

Hard black crows bobbing
where once ran deep furrows
Frazzled oak silhouetted
in her ivy dress
Winter sun catches
dog fox through thin hedges:
Throws his long shadow
north to the emptiness
Farmhouse in tatters;
shuttered and battered
Even lovers don't go there
these last few years
Spider-web windows
on set-aside heroes
Standing lost
in a landscape of tears

Your master has arrived! I seem to be able to find the goats when others can't. Visibility was only about 50m this morning and it was hard to corral them on my own without them disappearing over edges. But I did like the stance of this one, like thou shalt not pass. Makes no difference to me. I'm not feart of them. I think there were about 30 in this group, all rather agitated, females butting female, male butting male. Apparently it's that time of year. And an informed gent I met told me they aren't feral goats. They are indigenous. Anyhow another pic for the goat album
a plumber can charge you upwards of seventy-five dollars per hour for it, without necessarily fixing anything :-)

This is a small church which has been abandoned for some years now. Apparently they had the intention to fix it once, as there were scaffoldings, but they may had run out budget, because they looked abandoned as well.
What makes it different from other abandoned churches is the amazing yellow light coming from aloft.
Aside from having won a ridiculous number of awards for being Britain’s Prettiest Village, Thornton Le Dale has featured on countless calendars and sweet selection boxes over the years. Quite right, too, we say – it’s gorgeous.
Located in North Yorkshire, about 12 miles from Scarborough, it’s awash with thatched cottages, idyllic gardens and a stream that runs alongside the street. And if it does get you thinking about milk truffles, vanilla creams and other goodies, then you’re in luck; wander along to the Square and you’ll find a shop called the Chocolate Factory, which stocks enough handmade treats to make Willy Wonka jealous.
Don’t worry if you end up over-indulging, though. You’re within the North York Moors National Park, so you could always walk off a few calories with a scenic stroll. The views are pretty spectacular
Aside to the very impressive rocks and moss, those striking bands of orange lichen was what really caught my eye!
Look aside and you might find the one. Not in front of you must be what you've come for. I was going home, few more steps and I'm in the city, when I looked around myself for the last time. Last glimpse of mist was waving me in goodbye...
Aside from the deafening roar of the motorboat, the place and moment were quieting.
Sensational Saturday to you.
Aside from the main point of interest in this place - The Twelve Apostles, I admired this golden cliff lit in late afternoon glow. Everyone fled to it's edge to get the best view of the famous rock formations.

.....not only does she attack the mama in the night, biting her ears and chewing on her nose and asking for belly rubs, she bites my nose and ears too.
in the daytime I get mad and try to kill her by biting her throat, but she's tall and she thinks we're just playing, and mama and dad yell and make us stop.
but I'm not playing....
I'm behind on it.

This is a classic view of Maya Bay, made famous by the movie 'The Beach' starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Controversy arose during the making of the film due to 20th Century Fox's bulldozing and landscaping of the natural beach setting of Ko Phi Phi Leh to make it more "paradise-like". The production altered some sand dunes and cleared some coconut trees and grass to widen the beach. Fox set aside a fund to reconstruct and return the beach to its natural state; however, lawsuits were filed by environmentalists who believed the damage to the ecosystem was permanent and restoration attempts had failed. The lawsuits dragged on for years and in 2006 Thailand's Supreme Court upheld a ruling that the filming had harmed the environment and ordered that damage assessments be made. Defendants in the case included 20th Century Fox and some Thai government officials.
The insanely picturesque bay is now protected as a National Park.
By the way, the Flickr map is not quite right in terms of naming!
