Another shot from Namibia.
One of the highlights of our trip to Namibia was visiting Sossusvlei, a pan in the southern part of the Namib desert where some of the surrounding dunes have been carved by the wind into these iconic shapes.
The rush hour was just beginning and a blustery cold day in December in Boston doesn't really slow anyone down.

Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum - The landing runway flight path is very close to the museum. Air Lingus jet landing seen through the Ascent sculpture.
This was taken in the Tate Modern in London. I've seen a few photos of this staircase on Flickr so I was looking forward to photographing it, but when I arrived the light levels were pretty low and there was a sign at the bottom and it was difficult to find a composition that didn't include at least a bit of clutter or other things to distract from the staircase itself. I finally settled on this angle looking up as this allowed me to lose the distractions which were all at ground-level. Canon EOS 6D & Canon EF 28-80mm f/2.8-4.0L @ 28mm & f/2.8, 1/45 sec @ ISO 1000

99234 makes a stunning ascent along one of the straights climbing the Brocken. This photo was taken about 45 minutes walk from Schierke station and as I could not find a way down the curve I used a telephoto lens to look down the sunny side of the train
