This little spring is located directly below the Pan Group of statues. The spring is an outflow of the Badenburger See and feeds the "Teufelsbach" (=devils's creek).

Still waiting for #3 to arrive ... so need to stick close to home. As such, I ventured back to my favourite spot along the Thames and this time tried my hand at HDR. Admittedly a little on the 'intense' side, but at least it's colourful. :-)

In March we had once again short minus temperatures at night. At 23:29 o'clock I went with flashlight and different liquids into the garden to do a test. I wanted to find out with which liquid they freeze best. This was created with a liquid of water, sugar and dishwasher detergent. Besides the flashlight I switched on the garden jets from the house.
Im März hatten wir noch einmal kurz Minusgrade in der Nacht. Um 23:29 Uhr bin ich mit Taschenlampe und verschiedene Flüssigkeiten in den Garten gegangen um eine Test zu machen. Ich wollte heraus finden mit welcher Flüssigkeit sie am besten gefrieren. Diese ist mit einer Flüssigkeit aus Wasser, Zucker und Geschirrspülmittel entstanden. Außer der Taschenlampe habe ich noch den Gartenstrahler vom Haus angeschaltet.
The remembrance poppy is an artificial flower that has been used since 1921 to commemorate military personnel who have died in war, and represents a common or field poppy, Papaver rhoeas. Inspired by the World War I poem "In Flanders Fields", and promoted by Moina Michael, they were first adopted by the American Legion to commemorate American soldiers killed in that war. They were then adopted by military veterans' groups in parts of the British Empire.
Today, they are mostly used in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, to commemorate their servicemen and women killed in all conflicts. There, small artificial poppies are often worn on clothing leading up to Remembrance Day/Armistice Day. Poppy wreaths are often laid at war memorials. In Australia and New Zealand, they are also worn on Anzac Day.

If you know a kid that you want to get interested in the ocean, science or the outdoors, this fish may pique their interest. It's a Striated Frogfish, also known as a Hairy Frogfish. Some have a lot more of a hairy look than this one. When I was with Scott, Judy, and Marie, they were finding a lot of Frogfish but this one was on relatively clean sand and booking it on his way to somewhere. (Personally, I think he had a date.) They "walk" on their front fins but usually stay still, fishing with the little artificial lure in front of their mouth. When a small fish gets to close, attracted to the lure, they open their mouth rapidly, creating an intake of water, prey and all. I read that they have the fastest bite in nature, but that may be a claim like "The best BBQ west of the Mississippi", but I believe it. Another critter from the Blue Heron Bridge dive. El sistema de la cartulina es poner la cámara en Bull y con una cartulina negra tapar el objetivo con ella y apartarlo solo cuando el fuego artificial estalla, así se consigue simplemente el momento más bonito y esto se hace también para pillar varios fuegos juntos sin tener que fotografiar cuando el fuego ya se descompone que esto haría que la foto estuviese demasiado cargada y sin definición
