This is a photo I took in August 2018 in Copenhagen. It was a very nice evening with beautiful light on the clouds. In the original photo however, the reflections were mostly blocked by some plants on the water. I took it as a challenge to use some photoshop tricks and replaced those plants by coping the upper part of the image, rotating it and giving it some water effects. If you look closely you can still see, that the reflections are not completely natural for my point of view but at a glance I think it works quite well.

Manmade backdrops can (sometimes) wreck an otherwise good shop

They can also enhance an otherwise 'average' shot

It's all a question of taste of course

Photography has it's technical side but in the end it's a subjective pastime

I've seen and admired terrific shots taken with a simple phone device

But anyway., this one most definitely falls into the latter average shot/enhance category

If these two sunlit (plus reflector) artificial tulips had a conversation, would they complain about childlessness and the fact that bees and other pollinators are not interested in them? Would they come up with a philosophy of life - and death, as they would know about being unceremoniously dumped one day? If or not if, they add colour and even a bit of beauty to our life. Would somebody say the same about me? If ...

Fenís Castle, in the Aosta Valley, is impressive, with its multiple towers and walls. The fact that it is located in the middle of the plain, and not on top of a peak like other castles in the area, suggests that its main role was administrative and prestigious.

The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again -- Wiliam Faulkner

A quite different (and more common) view of my daughter... Captured under a beautiful afternoon light during her rowing workout on the Ebro river, on a short visit back home berfore leaving (again!) for the World Rowing U23 Championship training camp past summer.
