This station is built in 1938 and reconstructed in 2005-2010. It is named after famous Russian poet Vladimir Mayakovky. Station's arch is armed with special metal pillars designed and manufactoried on Moscow airship factory. The station is brightly illuminated, but for some reason a part of hall has yellowish lighting. "Mayakovskaya" station's project took the grand-prix at 1939 New York World's Fair.

The project is located on Governor Island in NYC, which was abandoned by the military 8 years ago. To facilitate an international art exhibition, organized by the Public Art Fund, the New Museum and the Studio Museum, we developed an art and leisure platform that is strategically located between the former Burger King and the pool, providing food and leisure services. The platform is a parasitic structure, tapping into the equity of the deserted area without changing the atmosphere of a lost and run down former base. The platform creates new functional and spatial areas including a stage, sloped seating, integrated dinning, bathrooms, and changing rooms. One of the main features is an open able roof with a mirroring surface, creating a visual link to Manhattan when opened.

the chase bank tower was built in 1987 and designed by skidmore, owings and merrill. 55 stories tall with an opening between the 41st and 49th floors allegedly designed to add contrast and to reduce wind load. to me, it looks like somebody got a prince albert for christmas.

Built between 1898 and 1900 by the modernist architect Puig i Cadafalch, this structure together with Casa Lleó Morera and Casa Batlló, is a part of the Illa de la Discòrdia (Block of Discord). These three modernist buildings, the deesigns of which clash radically, hold great architectural and aesthetic value. Unfortunately, visitors are not allowed inside, but the view from the street is still impressive. Casa Ametller's design has Central European Gothic influences, which is particularly evident in the pyramid-shaped roof; a touch of Catalan Gothic style in visible in the window arches, but on the whole, it's clearly a modernist design.
