More than 100 PBSC students pledged to drive safely after participating in Arrive Alive, a nationally-touring program held in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Plaza on the Lake Worth campus Feb. 26. The program uses a high-tech simulator, impact video and other resources to educate students about the dangers of drunken driving and texting while driving.

This week is “ARRIVE ALIVE-DON’T TEXT AND DRIVE” week in Carrollton. In honor of the week, Carrollton Mayor Branson visited Creekview on Monday to present a Proclamation about the week. Be safe - Don't Text and Drive.

To the d*ckhead who trashed my stationary car this afternoon... consider yourself flickered.

 

Every year idiots like this one grace our roads & are a leading cause of road fatalities.

 

No excuses. Slow down, stop being a complete idiot!

Well, that's a lovely experience. On the way back from friends, past Diepsloot, and we had not one but two taxis tail-gating us while we were travelling within the speed-limits (80-100 km/h); not only tailgating on this narrow road towards Fourways, but setting their highlights on bright.

 

You can't pull over, since the road is incredibly narrow, and all you have to the left are deep ditches, with people walking all over the place.

 

Unbelievable; taxi terrorists.

 

And of course there was no policing to be seen anywhere; our cops prefers hiding behind bushes. Now that's crime prevention.

 

Wonder how many other people have experienced this criminal behaviour; and when will this result in a serious accident, if it hasn't already?

These confrontating adhesives where placed on walls and floors in public bathrooms at local bars. The South African road safety organisation Arrive Alive visualize people’s behaviour after drinking too much.

'Arrive Alive' campaign sign seen all throughout the Eastern Cape. Often livestock are found in / next to roads, and wildlife such as the Kudu often jump into cars endangering their own lives, as well as the persons in the car. Monkeys, meerkats and tortoises are also often road casualties.
