An apocalyptic view of biblical prophecy. Taken after a cyclonic storm near Cairns in the wet season.

I have never seen a sky quite like this before and I guess I will never see one again another from the archives taken in 2007!

I had another book in mind to start today, but after watching Obama

give a speech at the UN about the oceans rising, storms becoming more

frequent and lethal, how our time is running out and we have to act

NOW!!!! all the while a headline was running at the bottom of the

screen in bright red letters saying ALERT, DHS searchign for bomb

making materials in NY, I decided "Day by Day Armageddon would be

appropriate. And the burger? It was OK, they sent it out without

onions though, what's up with that?

Subtitled "It wasn't me" or "Armageddon outta here!". See 47/365 & 46/365 to make any sense of the shot. Globe was lit with a red LaserPen from behind.

This image is not meant to be serious, I created this "self-portrait" mostly as a joke, and I must admit that I go over the line in ps sometimes, when I'm bored..I recommend seeing this image with dark background .Thank you for watching

The sky looked quite crazy last Saturday morning. As I started processing the image this evening I thought the combination of the glow of the rising sun and numerous contrails gives the impression of something quite sinister........or has my imagination run wild?

When i got home from this photo shot my son asked me,dad did you get a nice shot, and i replied i think i got a nice sunrise and i showed him the photo and he's reply was nice it looks like armageddon. This photo was shot on the grounds of Dundurn Castle where one of the biggest battles of 1812 was.

During the morning, a few hours before the sunrise, I went to Acitrezza to test the new set of filters that I bought.

After I arrived at the destination, I went down to the sea shore. Only half an hour until the dawn and during this time the clouds started to take strange forms and to colour themselves with fiery colours.

I chose to take this photograph without filters to not lengthen the exposure time and capture the clouds the way they were at that moment.

Unfortunately this fiery moment didn't last long, and after several minutes the excitement of colored dawn faded.

Not really what I had visioned in my head, but i'm still mega happy with the outcome!

Orb = x1 exposure. Usual lenser orb, but the fire was created with an LED Lenser P7!

Stars = x25 - 30 second exposures stacked in StarStax.

'We are faced with the very gravest of challenges. The Bible calls this day Armageddon, the end of all things. And yet, for the first time in the history of the planet, a species has the technology to prevent its own extinction...The dreams of an entire planet are focused tonight on these 3 brave souls.."

Ok I know thats too much buildup :) for my three friends Karthik, Guru & Senthil .

But this photo reminds me of the scene in the movie Armageddon(one of my all-time favorite movies) where the men walk to the space shuttle for the launch. And who can forget Aerosmith's superb song- "I dont want to miss a thing'

A new version of this photo, with the distracting powerline erased in Paintshop Pro, and re-cropped to lose some noise at the bottom. I tuned the contrast and color levels to intensify the effect of impending doom.

Some crazy clouds above my house just minutes ago.

Sunset light managed to find its way through the abundance of storm clouds that are around this evening to light up this scary looking cloud structure.

Today has been a day of sunshine and showers, so off I went to a vantage point to see some stunning cloud formations. This is overlooking the place where the River Trent and the River Ouse meet to form the River Humber. The tide was out, but all three rivers can be seen across the centre of the image. Standing the best part of 50 metres high, overlooking an area of wetland called the Alkborough Flats, views are afforded way across Yorkshire over the north side of the rivers. The information panel shows sights that can be seen from this point. Such as the top of York Minster, Drax Power Station, the northern most part of the Derbyshire Peak District and the Yorkshire Wolds are all in view on a clear day.

Today though it was as if Armageddon was arriving, a wall of cloud spread over the horizon and moving ever closer as each minute passed. The once singing birds fell silent as the wind died down and an eerie silence descended. All that was left to do was to watch as the end of the world slowly approached, enveloping the photographer in a wondrous sight that he’ll never forget.......... Make sure you view this image as large as you can.....

I am not sure this shot does the real colors justice, the sky and clouds had the wildest colors of violet, purple and blue shades. I've never seen anything like that before.

"The history of this train is hard to understand, but here is his tale anyways"

Previous part

The tale of Armageddon saved by Egon Hell!

It felt like an eternity of itself for Armageddon to be in the Trench of Despair to be consumed by the mist lingering there, but it couldn't do it, only a few scratches was it able to make while others took maximum ten minutes to be consumed in full agony. He knew that Doomsday's magic was at fault so the mist could not relieved Armaggeddon of his past life's of being a failed disciple and geting tortured by it.

But suddenly the mist started to lighten up and a figure began to form, when the figure stood in front of him and the mist still around the being out of the blue yelled

- "I HAVE A PURPOSE HERE! LEAVE ME BE OR STAY TO ACCEPT THE CONSEQUENCES!"

With that the mist completly disappeared and the figure became more focused to be revaled as none other than the inventor, the maker and true ruler of Hell itself, the one and true only "Egon Hell".

Of course Armageddon jumped in fear since he did unofficially transport souls to Hell just to stay alive and in Hell's law that is considerd illegal and the punished is to be thrown in the deepest place in Hell's existence and tortured beyond infinity,

- "But thats not why I'm here, what I'm here for is to get you out of here and back on track!

And before you ask why here is my deal, be my ear and eyes, and I will restore you also upgrade you and give you freedom to travel everywhere without causing fear and death. In exchange you will be prime transport for those worthy to survive doomsday and take them to a new fresh world!"

With a deal like that Armageddon immediately answered yes and with that enormus breakdown trains arrives to get him out of there, after separating his train body and lifting him and on long and strong well-wagons they departed to Armaggeddon new purpuse and life.

During his time in the workshop he saw alot of different trains that is for different jobs but a but a quite a few is meant for Hell's Army of Justice such as a hellish steam turbine locomotive [PRR class S2] that is owned by James Dreegon to transport him and his whole "Squadron 765" including all the equipment.

During the repairs Armageddon was given a tender where a crew could live and to store souls for him to consume, a observation coach for those brave and willing to see the magic world, a Deluxe-parlour coach with brew from realms of gods, demons, fantasy and extinct worlds and at last Egon Hell's private saloon coach the "peice of resistance" that Egon travel's in and it allows Armaggedon to travel freely around the reality.

During the restorations he was fitted with the strongest ghost trap to ever be made, ability to convert bad souls to pure energy cubes and more equipment to digest souls better. His original passenger coaches got upgrated with better brakes, lavish interior and protections against anything evil.

When Armageddon was finally done and was rolling out on own power he saw his daughter waiting to greet him, she revealed that it was her that gave Egon the idea to bring Armaggeddon back from the Trench of Dispair and to become his personel train in exchange for free will and travel to everywhere.

- "But why?" He asked.

- "Hell is getting overpopulated by Doomsday's thirst for total Extinction, and the equpment to adjust his kingdom is not yet fast enough. With your experience of him we now have a chance of winning, and I will still be able rule over our kingdom of rail. Not to mention ALL the other existacnce-verses that now exist"

Accepting his new fate he told his daughter to not worry and with new allies he knew they now will defeat Doomsday.

Every day, Earth is bombarded with more than 100 tons of dust and sand-sized particles.

About once a year, an automobile-sized asteroid hits Earth's atmosphere, creates an impressive fireball, and burns up before reaching the surface.

Every 2,000 years or so, a meteoroid the size of a football field hits Earth and causes significant damage to the area.

Only once every few million years, an object large enough to threaten Earth's civilization comes along. Impact craters on Earth, the moon and other planetary bodies are evidence of these occurrences.

Space rocks smaller than about 25 meters (about 82 feet) will most likely burn up as they enter the Earth's atmosphere and cause little or no damage.

If a rocky meteoroid larger than 25 meters but smaller than one kilometer ( a little more than 1/2 mile) were to hit Earth, it would likely cause local damage to the impact area.

We believe anything larger than one to two kilometers (one kilometer is a little more than one-half mile) could have worldwide effects. At 5.4 kilometers in diameter, the largest known potentially hazardous asteroid is Toutatis.

By comparison, asteroids that populate the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, and pose no threat to Earth, can be as big as 940 kilometers (about 583 miles) across.

Sometime the clouds, the geology and the light create perfect conditions for a dark moody image. I took this shot as the kids and Varina were dashing to get to the shelter before the storm pelted us with Hail.
