It was sunset on a hot summer afternoon in December 2014 when I captured this giant storm cell rolling in over Sydney Harbour, Australia, and, still to today - it's one of my all-time favorite storm photos.

Taken as a 50mm vertical 6-shot panoramic and finished in a 16x9 and 3:1 format.

I was so blown away with the Sunrise today that I didn't even think straight. I just changed to my wide angle lens and took a few shots with my handheld camera before this magnificent and glorious Nature show was over. Cheers everyone.

What started out as a late afternoon shoot of the walkable tetrahedron steel pyramid on top of a spoil tip in Bottrop turned into a rather exciting, rain-swept endeavor as a thunderstorm passed right overhead.

A few nights ago, a world class storm reared its head above the southern horizon and zeroed in on the dozing city of Surprise, AZ.

When it swept through just at dusk, the entire sky was choked by ominous clouds, lightning and bullet-size raindrops.

A brewing storm over on Bison hill Whipsnade.

Within 20 minutes, the sky began to clear, leaving behind other-worldly clouds just like you'd see on Venus. By the way, no golfers were harmed during the storm. :-)
