A "conversational toilet" at the old ghost town of Two Guns, Arizona. Not sure what was worse, the potential splinters, or the lack of privy privacy!
A great stop if you get the chance, along the old Route 66 (now US I-40) between Flagstaff and Winslow.
The head and upper body of pink and grey granite monumental statue of Ramses II (one of a pair of the Ramesseum in Thebes) wearing nemes head-cloth. The back pillar is inscribed with vertical registers of hieroglyphs, giving the name and titles of the king and part of a dedication to Amun-Ra. It is possible that I encountered Yucca harrimaniae here, yuccas of which I took several pictures. The ruins however were carefully fenced in and kept off-limits, unfortunately.

This rare type of super massive lightning is called a “positive” lightning strike, as it originates high up in the cloud formation and strikes the ground with a positive charge, rather than a negative one like most lightning.
Positive lightning makes up less than 5% of all strikes, with a peak charge and potential up to ten times greater than normal negative lighting strikes. Positive lightning carries as much as 300,000 amperes and one billion volts!
