Just a moment on the Route 66 in Kingman. A 1978 Plymouth Volaré passes the El Trovatore Motel on the East Andy Devine Avenue which is part of the historic Route 66.
A nice detail is the model car on the dashboard of a the General Lee (a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T) from the tv-show "The Dukes of Hazzard".

Ancient Egyptian mud brick mold. This wooden brick form was used to create sun-dried bricks from the clay-rich mud of the Nile, often mixed with straw. Working as a team, two workers could create up to 6,000 bricks in a single day.
This brick mold dates from the 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom, and is marked with the cartouche of Thutmose III, the "Napoleon of Egypt".
Behind is a mud brick made from clay and straw, from the Ramesseum in Thebes (modern Luxor), from the reign of Ramesses II (Ramesses the Great) of the 19th Dynasty.

The "Indian Watchtower" at the ghost town ruins of Two Guns, Arizona. Nearby the legendary community of Canyon Diablo, about halfway between Winslow and Flagstaff.
Just below and to the left off this is the famous Apache Death Cave, where dozens of Apache Indians were boxed into a cavern by their Navajo enemies. The Navajo piled up dry brush and branches at the mouth of the cave and proceeded to set it alight, smothering and killing all inside from the smoke and fire.
It's said the trapped Apaches slit the necks of their horses in order to drain and use the blood in an attempt to extinguish the flames, but it was unsuccessful. Any who tried escaping the cave were shot but the Navajo, all who remained within perished.
I was recently commissioned by the creative marketing and advertising agency Moses Anshell to illustrate the holiday e-card for the Arizona Office of Tourism. There are 14 illustrations total.
Just north of Flagstaff, Arizona is one of the best preserved and pristine looking volcanoes in the state. The perfect cinder cone of SP Crater makes it look as if it erupted only yesterday
A tough, nearly 1000' climb brings you to the top of this local landmark, and affords you sweeping 360 degree views of the landscape, including the San Francisco Peaks near Flagstaff, the Painted Desert over the Navajo Nation, and the Grand Canyon itself.

Chimney Butte in the Hopi Buttes area. This interesting volcano is one of the few in the area featuring a good number of columnar jointed basalt colonnades, an indicator the magma came in contact with a body of water on one end, creating rapidly-cooling shrinkage crystals. via Instagram instagr.am/p/CYovPD_lKFX/
