Het had de hele dag geregend en 's avonds brak de zon door. Ik ging de deur uit om reflecties bij de Adriaan te schieten. Hoewel ik daar een niet onaardige foto heb gemaakt die ik hier ongetwijfeld een keer zal plaatsen, schoot ik mijns inziens uiteindelijk een veel interessanter beeld in de Waarderpolder, het bedrijven- en industrieterrein in Haarlem-Oost. Het gebouw dat je hier ziet, is het nieuwe onderkomen van Top Format, naar het schijnt een van de grootste en bekendste audioproductiehuizen van Nederland. Door de invallende duisternis en een 3-stops grijsfilter, was een sluitertijd van twee minuten mogelijk. Samen met de reflectie en de door de wind voortgedreven wolken, leverde dat dit plaatje op.

Sculpture "Group of Four Trees" by French artist Jean Dubuffet. 1970.
In 1969, David Rockefeller, then chairman of Chase Manhattan Bank, asked Jean Dubuffet to design models for a possible sculpture to be placed in front of the bank’s new building. Already, the building’s plaza included Isamu Noguchi’s Sunken Garden, completed in 1964, and the bank’s leaders wanted to add another sculpture as well.
Dubuffet submitted a number of models, of which Group of Four Trees was chosen. He then enlarged the piece for placement in the plaza. The sculpture is made of synthetic plastic over an aluminum frame, with a steel armature holding the whole piece together.

Ce « prodige du gigantesque et du délicat » admiré de Victor Hugo et célébré par Goethe, qui a connu là ses premières amours, est visible de très loin dans la plaine d’Alsace, jusque depuis les Vosges ou la Forêt-Noire. Côtoyée par le bâtiment de la Fondation de l’Œuvre Notre-Dame et le palais Rohan, elle se dresse sur la place de la cathédrale, au cœur de la Grande Île, le centre historique de Strasbourg.

La villa Kérylos, à Beaulieu-sur-Mer, est construite par l'architecte Emmanuel Pontremoli entre 1902 et 1908 sur un promontoire rocheux surplombant la Méditerranée, sur la route du bord de mer.
Cette habitation construite et meublée sur le modèle des villas de la Grèce antique du iie et du ier siècle av. J.-C. pour l'archéologue et spécialiste de l'époque hellénistique, Théodore Reinach (1860-1928), est léguée à l'Institut de France en 1928.
La riche décoration intérieure (esprit des fresques et silhouette du mobilier) et l’austérité des façades sur mer forment un exemple d’une architecture « pittoresco-académique » à tendance néo-antique et Art nouveau.
Elle est gérée depuis le 1er janvier 2016 par le Centre des monuments nationaux.

Falcon Hospital in Souq Waqif, Doha.
In Qatar, the state sponsors a full-fledged hospital for falcons – more than 40 thousand birds pass through it every year. They do everything there – from treating fractures (often caused by a falcon crashing into something at high speed) to prosthetics for broken feathers (necessary to maintain aerodynamic properties) and cosmetic procedures such as sharpening beaks and claws.

The Oculus was positioned as part of the World Trade Center masterplan by Daniel Libeskind and designed by Santiago Calatrava. The structure’s white metal-clad steel ribs reach up and out in a monumental move symbolic of a hand releasing a dove.
The structure's orientation serves as a lasting reminder of the attacks of September 11, 2001. It is in alignment with the sun’s solar angles on each September 11, from 8:46 am, when the first plane struck, until 10:28 am, when the second tower collapsed. Its central skylight fits this alignment and washes the Oculus floor with a beam of light.

Agha Bozorg mosque (Persian: مسجد آقا بزرگ Masjed-e Āghā Bozorg) is a historical mosque in Kashan, Iran. The mosque was built in the late 18th century by master-mimar Ustad Haj Sa'ban-ali. The mosque and theological school (madrasah) is located in the center of the city.
Agha Bozorgh Mosque was constructed for prayers, preaching and teaching sessions held by Molla Mahdi Naraghi II, known as Āghā Bozorgh.
