Nestled in the heart of Boston’s prestigious Back Bay neighborhood, 236 Newbury Street stands as a testament to the city’s rich historical tapestry and architectural grandeur. This exquisite structure boasts a classic gray stone facade that harks back to the late 19th century when this iconic street was first developed.

As you approach 236 Newbury Street, you’re greeted by an elegant arched doorway that serves as a portal to Boston’s storied past. The intricate moldings around its windows are reminiscent of a time when meticulous craftsmanship was the norm, not an exception. Each detail on this building tells a story of an era defined by its dedication to beauty and durability.

The traditional design elements blend seamlessly with modern touches, creating an ambiance that is both timeless and inviting. The black wrought iron fence adds a touch of sophistication while demarcating private space in this bustling urban landscape.

Inside, one can imagine how each room bursts with character—high ceilings adorned with crown molding and large windows allowing natural light to dance across hardwood floors. It’s not just a building; it’s a piece of history preserved for future generations to admire.

For those who appreciate architecture that echoes through time or seek inspiration from historical landmarks, 236 Newbury Street offers more than just an address—it provides an experience steeped in Bostonian charm and elegance.

Step into history through the majestic doors of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston. Nestled in the heart of this vibrant city lies a testament to architectural brilliance and spiritual heritage. The church’s entrance is a portal to its past, boasting neoclassical design elements that have stood the test of time since its inception.

As you approach these hallowed grounds, your eyes are immediately drawn to the imposing wooden doors, richly stained and lovingly preserved. They are framed by an elaborate archway adorned with classical motifs—a hallmark of neoclassical artistry. The keystone at the apex of this arch is intricately carved, commanding attention and admiration from all who pass by.

Above these doors lies a fanlight window with delicate tracery patterns that allow natural light to filter through, casting ethereal patterns within. Flanking either side are Corinthian pilasters rising majestically, their capitals meticulously crafted with acanthus leaves—a symbol of enduring life and immortality.

This doorway isn’t merely an entry point; it’s a narrative in stone and wood that whispers tales from 1906 when architect Charles Brigham brought his vision to life. It invites visitors to ponder on craftsmanship rarely seen in modern structures while offering a serene space for reflection amidst bustling city life.

The First Church of Christ, Scientist stands as more than just a place for worship; it’s an architectural marvel that embodies beauty, strength, and spirituality—a true gem in Boston’s historic landscape.

As the sun graces its skyline, the City of Praxis stands as a testament to utopian innovation, melding sustainability with the bold dreams of its founders.

I think Wells Cathedral is my favourite building. First off, it's HUGE, secondly it's got a beautiful colour in the sunlight, and thirdly, it's got so much history within. I really could spend a lot of time walking through it's cavernous halls!

I've only recently worked out how to do bracketting and i gave HDR processing a go today (i've never been really fond of the results of my efforts before today's attempts, but these turned out ok), So basically this is how i spent my day at work :$
