The Liège-Guillemins train station, designed by the Spanish architect Calatrava, was recently colourfully decorated by the French artist Daniel Buren. For this temporary art installation, 7 colours were used to cover the 10,000 square metres of the building's roof.

The Louvre Pyramid (Pyramide du Louvre) is a large glass and metal pyramid designed by Chinese-American architect I.M. Pei, surrounded by three smaller pyramids, in the main courtyard (Cour Napoléon) of the Louvre Palace (Palais du Louvre) in Paris. The large pyramid serves as the main entrance to the Louvre Museum. Designed by famous Syracuse Architect A Russell in 1881 ~ Garden Flower

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Palacio de Generalife ( Arabic: جَنَّة الْعَرِيف‎ , literally, "Architect's Garden") was the summer palace and country estate of the Nasrid Emirs of the Emirate of Granada in Al-Andalus, now beside the city of Granada in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain.

The palace and gardens were built during the reign of Muhammad III (1302–1309) and redecorated shortly after by Abu I-Walid Isma'il (1313–1324).

The Patio de la Acequia, which you can see in this photo, has a long pool framed by flowerbeds, fountains, colonnades and pavilions.

The Generalife is one of the oldest surviving Moorish gardens.

The Generalife is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Granada, along with the Alhambra palace and gardens, and the Albayzín district.

Yikes! ...and I hadn't even tasted anything alcoholic! Taking a walk a couple of blocks from home, my eyes popped on spotting this architectural adventure. Vancouver architects seem to have a penchant for bent buildings! This one reminds me of the 53-story "Vancouver House" near the Granville Street bridge, designed by Danish architect Bjarke Bundgaard Ingels - maybe that's because this one's designed by the same architect!

Not far from the Binding Brewery in Frankfurt am Main stands a building that clearly stands out from the rest of the buildings in the Sachsenhausen district: the Sonnenring. It is one of the buildings designed by architect Günther Balser, was built between 1969 and 1975, and is considered to be an example of brutalist architecture.

That's what a good architect must be like, just like Frank Gehry ... Inspiration, ideas, the intrinsic and motivation come from play, and then you need the technology and skills to turn these fantasies into reality ...

A museum entrance with special materials, a slide, and a double helix as a staircase ...

What more could you ask for? ;-) ...
