The Science Museum of Western Virginia, in Roanoke, Virginia, has an exhibit on the science of video games called Pixel Play. There are at least 30 arcade games from the 1980s in the exhibit, and you can play any of them (the only cost is the museum entrance fee). Shades of my youth!
In addition to over 125 antique and craft vendors, a visit to the OLD SLED WORKS will take you back in time. Experience a working Old Time Penny Arcade and Soda Fountain, spend some time in our Sled Museum for a look at some of the early Lightning Guider sleds and other items produced for 85 years in this old factory. New in 1999... climb the Duncannon Tower, an old forest fire lookout tower we moved to the Old Sled Works . . . This restored 110' tower offers a wonderful view of the Susquehanna River and surrounding landscape.
