Taken in April when I finally went out. I missed all the best blossom photos, but did see it from the sitting room window!
Maybe view large, but thank you for your favourites. :)
I stood in the middle of a farmer’s field to make this image. However, my OS map showed that I was actually positioned on a public footpath that took its route straight through the centre of the field. However, I was never entirely convinced and farmers have often been portrayed in the media to take an aggressive stance over public access over their land. I had to work hard with this image to avoid a number of very unsightly power lines, which could have been avoided more easily if I had strayed from what I perceived to be the path and taken up a position amongst the crop!
It was the last day for these flowers. The petals had started to fall so I figured I should grab a quick shot of them before they were gone.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

“Sometimes we let our thoughts of tomorrow take up too much of today. Daydreaming of the past and longing for the future may provide comfort but will not take the place of living in the present. This is the day of our opportunity, and we must grasp it” ― Thomas S. Monson

Just a mellow sort of Sunday around here; the weather once again couldn't pick a direction so we've spent a quiet day inside.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

When I opened the blinds this morning I saw white, not green. The scene was completely unexpected.
The view is of the riverfront just across the street from our apartment.

April...was a strange mix of snow showers, frosts, chilly mornings, but also some lovely warm sunny days...here we are in early May...cold, wet...if it wasn't for the spring flowers in the garden you'd think it was late autumn!

Early gen sources suggested that green livery 47815 was allocated to this and was likely to be the leading loco. My hopes were dashed on arrival here when I discovered a swap had taken place in favour of maroon 47848.
Although I'm not a fan of the livery, at least the loco was smartly turned out and was certainly getting a move on in charge of 5Z70, the 07.26 Carnforth - Liverpool Lime Street Northern Belle ECS, passing Bay Horse on Fri 1st April 2022.
I took this photo on the 10th of April this year. A lot of snow came down suddenly one Saturday morning. I found a flock of 30 or so curlew feeding in a field & somehow the photo came out like this! Very Christmassy in December...
