This is where the hardware was displayed. You see all those people in solid-coloured t-shirts? Yes, they're staff. You pretty much just had to stand in one spot with a puzzled look on your face for no more than 10 seconds and some cheerful person would come up and ask if they could help you.

on Dec. 9, 2011, an Apple Store opened in Grand Central Station in NYC. It was quite exciting for only a store opening. I think because of the venue. It's located on the balcony.
Opened today... another Applestore.
Not really the largest Applestore on the planet. But nice to have one close to home.
When I ordered my Apple TV box, I also bought an HDMI cable to connect it to the HDTV. The Apple Store shipped the cable recently but (surprise!) the wrong product actually arrived in the carton. Getting the situation corrected is proving quite the headache. The two CSRs I spoke with this morning couldn't quite comprehend that the system made a mistake and insisted on treating this as a standard return. Send it back for a credit to your account. What? You want the item you actually ordered? No, can't do that. I was so frustrated that I just hung up and wrote a letter instead. We'll see if anyone at Apple manages to rise to the occasion and correct the mistake.
