The Apple Store could almost be a nightclub in this black and white shot. It would be a super cool nightclub, if you took away all the mac gear, and had liquor on the tables and bright, art videos playing on the screens, and a DJ pumping something heavy, insistent, and scary. You couldn't buy a mac there, but you could win one as a prize playing nail gun russian roulette. The whole place would be meticulously sterilized each morning. $25 cover. Designer shoes not optional.

Shot this from inside the apple store on 5th ave in NYC. First time Iv'e made it to the cube store. I've been in the city several times since it was built, but never found the time to visit.
I'm released on my own recognizance at about 7:45 or so. It is hot. Hot, hot hot. Not "latin dance extravaganza" hot. I mean, ten paces down the street and you're slightly drier than you would be if you were scuba diving hot. The humidity was oppressive and overall it was so damned unpleasant that I just kept my blazer on. I'm going to be hot and wet and uncomfortable no matter what I'm wearing...at least the jacket would make me look kind of good, and it'd sop up some of the sweat.
Suffice to say that the landmark Apple Cube looks less futuristic and awe-inspiring on a day like this, when it's been lathered in the squeezings of the city.
