Taken on the ground looking up through the ring of the launch pad. This launch pad is the sight of the Apollo 1 fire and the Apollo 8 launch. This is where the rocket boosters would sit and the fire would flame out to the ground when ignition happened. It was very surreal to stand there and see the scorch marks on the concrete.
