Stitched for my Dad and his wife who had this blessing read at their wedding in 2002. A good stitch - took me 3/4 months, mainly because I was only stitching in the evenings. It was a good mix between easy repetitive patterns (the main parts of the left and right borders) and then more interesting detail, although I got very bored trying to backstitch the geese!

The picture isn't great as I'm sending it to them to be stretched and framed.

The blessing is :

Now you will feel no rain for each of you will be shelter for the other.

Now you will feel no cold for each of you will be warmth for the other.

No there is no more loneliness.

Now you are two persons but there is only one life before you.

May your days together be good and long upon the earth.

These are legendary. The two helicopters you can see are massive Apache gunships. Three of them were up from the States training with the 3/09 brigade. These are arguably the most impressive machines I have ever seen with my own eyes.

In 2006, Apache lake was drained 50ft in order to do dam maintenance. It is only done every 50 years, so this was a rare occation. This was our last trip of the season, and as you can see, the level of the lake was way down. We parked our boat at the marina on Friday, and on Sunday when we went to get it, this is what we saw. We had to drive our trailer over to the State run boat dock at the other end of the lake to get the boat out. When we were getting our boat out there, the water was so low that the truck had to go out into the rocks after the cement ended.
