Unusual visitor flying over the house yesterday

An Apache Railway train cruises south through aptly named Pig Farm, Arizona, in the beautiful last light of a March 2005 day. Heading up the train is a former Canadian Pacific Alco C-424 no. 97, leading another C-424 and an Alco C-420.

The incredible display but the Army Air Corps Apache gunship was a real highlight of RIAT 2019.

Westland-built Apache AH.1 ZJ224 served with 656 Squadron Army Air Corps in Afghanistan. On 15th January 2007, it was one of two Apache helicopters that carried troops on their stub wings into Jugroom Fort, Helmand Province. The aircraft is on display in the Army Flying Museum at Middle Wallop.

Wattisham airfield was opened in 1939 and used by the RAF as a Bomber base flying Bristol Blenheim Bombers in 1942 it was handed over to the USAAF for the rest of WWII and P-38 Lightning’s and the P-51 Mustang’s use to fly from the base

After WWII the base was handed back to the RAF and other aircraft to have been stationed at Wattisham include Meteors, Hawker Hunters including the Black Arrows formation team, English Electric Lightnings, Gloster Javelin and the McDonnell Douglas Phantoms In 1993 the base was handed over to the Army

The Apache plume, Fallugia paradoxa, belongs to the rose family, Rosaceae. The plant blooms with small white flowers then explode into purple plumes with fine hairs on them. It is native to the southwest that includes far west Texas.

A Chevrolet Apache Panel Truck at the Street Mag Show Hamburg.

I saw this extensive wall in an overgrown, almost hidden alleyway. This was so creepy, I took the photos thru the car window.
