The Apache Trail to Canyon Lake, was my chosen annual birthday ride. I wanted an epic ride to mark the special occasion.
The Big Red One (First Division) came to Cantigny Park, Wheaton, Illinois with helicopters and armor for Armed Forces Day. I was able to take some photographs on their last day (Monday, 5/18/09) and also witness the departure.

The statue of an Apache dancer in the sculpture garden at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen, Minnesota.
Another visit around Wattisham, courtesy of the Army Air Corps and RAF. Arrangements went a little wrong at the start when one of the Apache's set aside for inspection was required on the flightline to replace a u/s aircraft. The tow truck is actually attached to the rear and pushing forward.
I took this photo as the cannon swivled in my direction. [don't panic! its not loaded] i thought to myself

The Apache is regarded as one of the most brave Indian Tribe in North America. Wherever an Apache's warrior goes he always carries his Tomahawk, bow and arrows to guard himself against any danger and enemies. Imagine if one of this missiles drop on your house...a terrible weapon indeed...
