At any time of the day, this photograph of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains backlands would be quite unspectacular. Some hills and many trees, thats all. But when the first sunrays are shining through the soft veil of the uprising humility, a really mystic atmosphere is emerging. Its almost like nature would still wear a flimsy negligee.

I simply HAD to capture this classic MG, parked in the street right in front of Tetbury's 17th-century, pillared Market House!
This beautiful car could be from the 1940s - if there are any experts around: you're welcome to correct me ;-)

Whether the pacifier was picked up, I can't say, but I'm sure it was missing! On closer inspection, the viewer discovers a small visitor who was on a scouting trip.
I wish you a good rest of the week, dear friends, continue to be attentive!

I'm doing some experimental work here and I not only welcome but I would like any suggestions and comments on this image. I feel there is something lacking in it, but I don't know what.

A cockatoo is any of the 21 parrot species belonging to the family Cacatuidae, the only family in the superfamily Cacatuoidea. Along with the Psittacoidea (true parrots) and the Strigopoidea (large New Zealand parrots), they make up the order Psittaciformes. The family has a mainly Australasian distribution, ranging from the Philippines and the eastern Indonesian islands of Wallacea to New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and Australia. Cockatoos are recognisable by the prominent crests and curved bills. Their plumage is generally less colourful than that of other parrots, being mainly white, grey or black and often with coloured features in the crest, cheeks or tail. On average they are larger than other parrots; however, the cockatiel, the smallest cockatoo species, is a small bird. Cockatoos prefer to eat seeds, tubers, corms, fruit, flowers and insects. They often feed in large flocks, particularly when ground-feeding. Cockatoos are monogamous and nest in tree hollows. Some cockatoo species have been adversely affected by habitat loss, particularly from a shortage of suitable nesting hollows after large mature trees are cleared; conversely, some species have adapted well to human changes and are considered agricultural pests. This male Yellow-rumped Warbler stretches to see if there are any insects in the leaves at the end of this branch. I heard him before I saw him and I had to wait a while for him to come close enough for a good photo.

I haven't been able to post any pics on flick'r for a couple of weeks or more ... my pc's hard drive died a death and literally had no life in it, I just couldn't access anything. I'm sure I must have overloaded it!
I could have lost everything, but my genius son in law came to the rescue. He eventually managed to get into it and had to uninstall everything.
I'm very fortunate that his job is in IT and he took my computer home with him and fitted another hard drive for me.
It was a long haul, but now everything's working, except I'm having to go on different routes to access what I want sometimes because everything is updating - which is probably a good thing!
I've missed it so much ....
Meanwhile, I accumulated a lot of photos in my Olympus camera and this one is from a set I took of colourful flowers from my little garden.
I like to bring them indoors to photograph because it means I can take my time and try out different things.
The flowers are really strong colours and I thought they went well together with the rose as the star. I added a dark vignette. I used one of my craft cards for the base/background.
Have a great day everyone!

The Areca - Chrysalidocarpus lutescens (Areca lutescens)
Genre andalusia Chrysal-fall carpus twenty species from Madagascar, the Comoro Islands and other islands of Tanzania. The stems are erect and solitary, smooth or striated. The leaves form a tuft and apical inserted at the top of the stem, petioles through fine.
The species Chrysalidocarpus lutescens (Areca lutescens) is also used as indoor plant is native to Madagascar, where the natives called the "butterfly palm". Arched leaves of bright green with a yellow center line and nerves, have a consistency of paper (like a light butterfly).
This mama cat was visiting patrons at a restaurant in the countryside, begging for food. She was very sweet. We met her several times but never saw the kittens. They were probably very small and hidden somewhere.

Her home was a magical castle, each room holding a different experience that are all so precious in her lifetime. Sometimes, she finds herself walking into a room without any thoughts. Other times, she actually plans to visit certain rooms she is so familiar with, yet there are times when she forgets where certain rooms are located or gets lost in one room with the intention of being in another.
This evening, she was looking for a particular room. This was a room she didn't visit for so many years and was yearning for it. It was the one room where she could be herself completely. A room that held all her desires, dreams and peace of mind. After hours and hours of searching, she thought she could never find it but there was a ringing in her head and a light whispering call singing her name. With much focus she managed to follow the voice until she reached the top most room of the castle.
With a happy heart she pushed the door open and was welcomed with warmth, light and a sweet scent in the air. She floated around, bathing in the darkness that was her solitude, embracing her heart that was always shining from within for others but perhaps it was time that her heart will shine for herself too for a change.
"It is your turn."
This is her time.
P.S. Shout out to the lovely SweetBun, Lya! She gave me an inspiration Image and told me to go crazy trusting me to add my own touch to the artwork. I have never been so inspired in a while to do a solo shot but here I am!

Pukekura Falls.... most likely the waterfall is not a natural one. It was ennobled by hand before the visit of the young Queen Elizabeth and her husband, Prince Philip, to New Zealand in the summer of 1954; and now there is a pump which makes the waterfall alive.
Waterfall height: 12m
Pukekura Falls are best viewed at night, during the Festival of Lights. The park is beautiful at any time of day or year, but every summer Pukekura Park hosts the spectacular Festival of Lights. From December to February, hundreds of lighting displays turn the park into a huge, illuminated fantasyland.
