View towards west from the observation deck of the new Shanghai Tower, currently the tallest building in Shanghai and the second tallest in the world.
This is the big Huangpu River bend, with the Bund, the mouth of Suzhou Creek and the twin towers of the Shanghai IFC in the lower foreground.
I added some notes to identify buildings or other features in the picture, some of these notes contain links.
And, as usual, flickr wrongly assigns "Hongkou" as location name.

The light spawns its silver light over the sea.
Pacified, the waves magnify the silence
of the feeble steps of the day
venturing into their habit
of increasing noises.
The skin gets over and is assuming
the splendor of the sun which already lavishes
its luxury of colors and reliefs,
the blue sea, the greedy mirror
in which the sunny sky watches itself
and in its swinging the sound of the waves
suggests a long trip to memory.
Each day renews its memory, old days
in the time unit which is the life.

A view upstream the Pegnitz river. The building on the left is the Heilig-Geist-Spital, built 1339. The Reichskleinodien (Imperial Regalia) were stored there from 1424 to 1796.
The Schuldturm tower in the center was built in 1323 as part of the town fortifications. As the city grew and new fortifications were built further outside the town, the tower found new use as debtors' prison, thus the name Schuldturm (lit. "debt tower").

WONDERFUL FACTS - Which is the smartest animal ...
Dolphins are well-documented as intelligent animals ... As Discovery News reports, the dolphin's large brain is structured for awareness and emotion. In fact, dolphinbrains are more structurally complex than humans. (Jul 15, 2016) 🐬

Despite being from the cactus family, the May flower does not have any thorns. It originates in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil and is scientifically known as schlumbergera truncata.
Its preferences are similar to orchids in terms of support. In its natural environment it prefers to use tree trunks as support. Therefore, this place is one of the best to keep your flower.
The name of this plant became popular due to its flowering, which takes place in May. However, it can be known in other ways depending on the region you are in. Thus, other common names are: silk flower, easter cactus for the southern hemisphere and christmas cactus for the northern hemisphere.
This flower fell in love with gardening enthusiasts because it is medium in size, has a huge variety of colors such as pink, pale yellow, red, orange and white, in addition to being very easy to grow.
The May flower reaches 30 cm in height, and can be kept in smaller pots with a diameter of 10 cm. Another curiosity is that if this plant is pollinated, it produces pink fruits with 1 to 2 cm when ripe.
***
This plant blooms in autumn, which in Brazil takes place between March and May. This time is close to Easter, which is also related to the flower. On the other hand, it can still bloom around Christmas in the Northern Hemisphere.
In this way, the May flower is linked to festivals that symbolize rebirth and life. Because it has many cheerful colors, it brings more liveliness to any environment in which it is, valuing any garden decoration around it.
The name silk flower is related to the soft and delicate texture of this flower. Therefore, these definitions are also among its meanings, offering more softness to the place where it is grown. That's why you can even stay in the plants to improve the energy of the house.
If offered as a gift, its symbolism indicates an attitude of pure and true feeling. It can also be used for declarations of love, representing the sincerity of the relationship.
~True friendship cannot be forged overnight. It has to be tested by time over and over again. Thank you for being my true friend and my only soulmate!
It’s hard to meet people in life who are willing to give everything without the hope of any return. I call myself lucky because I have someone like that in my life. It’s you!
You have always been there in my hard times and my heartbreaks. I thank god everyday for blessing me with such a true friend like you my sweet Beth♥~
Puffins are any of three species of small alcids (auks) in the bird genus Fratercula. These are pelagic seabirds that feed primarily by diving in the water. They breed in large colonies on coastal cliffs or offshore islands, nesting in crevices among rocks or in burrows in the soil. Two species, the tufted puffin and horned puffin, are found in the North Pacific Ocean, while the Atlantic puffin is found in the North Atlantic Ocean.
All puffin species have predominantly black or black and white plumage, a stocky build, and large beaks that get brightly colored during the breeding season. They shed the colorful outer parts of their bills after the breeding season, leaving a smaller and duller beak. Their short wings are adapted for swimming with a flying technique underwater. In the air, they beat their wings rapidly (up to 400 times per minute) in swift flight, often flying low over the ocean's surface.
This image was taken at Bempton Cliffs, North Yorkshire.

Any closer and the camera would have been behind me. :)
Joking aside, these are actually really hard for me to do and I have tremendous admiration
for those that do these on a regular basis.
Have a lovely Monday dear friends. Hugs~

IN SEARCH OF ANY TASTY FISH REMAINS, amongst the fish nets left on the quay side, this robust little wader is a real beauty, and fairly approachable.
Not much going on in the local birding world, so a visit to Whitstable fishing harbour, gave me a few interesting images to show!

Image captured in a street in Arenal (Old Seville neighborhood on the banks of the Guadalquivir river) The photograph is captured freehand without any support with a speed of 1/25, a diaphragm of f/5.6 and High Iso 4000 with a focal of 24mm. The white balance is corrected in the edit to give the stage that warm tone that is closer to the real one, than the colder one that the camera took on automatic. Personally I like how it looks even if certain tones are lost.
This image is the result of one test in difficult conditions with my camera.

Oh love, please hold on a little more
I am the kind of person
who dives into love too easily.
please hang in there a little bit more.
My dear
why is your gaze fixed on the rim of me?
My dear
why your voice
comes into my mind
without any warning?
Why does it bring me such sorrow?
Gathering all the pieces of the moments
that are disappearing.
Please allow me to find
the moments that I can return to.
Gathering all the love
that is disappearing.
Please allow me to find the love
so I can go onto.
My dear
why your presence
makes me feel so small
that I'm in unbareable pain.
Getting rid of all the hatred
that keep falling on me.
For the sake of my forlorn life
please allow me to love you.
I'm that kind of person who gets
torn by love too easily.

At any time of the day, this photograph of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains backlands would be quite unspectacular. Some hills and many trees, thats all. But when the first sunrays are shining through the soft veil of the uprising humility, a really mystic atmosphere is emerging. Its almost like nature would still wear a flimsy negligee.
