Apparently, even The Avengers were capable of the dreaded ‘newbie’ effect. Scott had only been on the job, sorta, for two days now, granted a Special Provisional Trainee Part Time Membership into the world’s mightiest clubhouse.
The hazing and jokes had begun right away, with Hawkeye making wise remarks about needed his super vision to see Scott’s ‘antman.’ Penis jokes being his go-to humour. Black Widow asked (continuing the trend) if he could grow certain parts of his anatomy, while Falcon was still pissy about getting ‘pwned by a noob,’ whatever THAT meant.
Scott’s first assignment had come in a flurry of alarms and sirens, during his lunchbreak. His ‘office’ was equipped with the latest in Stark Tech (including a wink-wink note about ‘private’ browsing being A-ok) and an impressive array of warning systems, all designed to keep the team hooked into current events and threats.
And at 12.05, all those systems had gone off. At once. The alerts all seemed concentrated in one area of Downtown and since he was still unsure of the protocol regarding first responders, Scott went out into the common room to see who was on the job.
Right away, all the other team members started to harangue poor Scott, asking why the hell he was not already on his way to the emergency, while throwing out a list of all the much more important things THEY had to do.
So Scott went. In the van. With that jingling siren.
On arriving, after spending the best part of 25 minutes explaining to a helpful patrolman that he WAS in fact an Avenger (almost) and not just some weirdo in an old motorcycle suit (without a motorcycle), Scott finally began to get the details.
Something was happening around the corner, something involving a vicious beast with claws and fangs, and the fury of at least 3 raging Suns. Or so the patrolman said
.
This frankly sounded like bullshit. But Scott figured it must be something crazy, or every alarm would not have gone off in HQ. And being prepared was never a bad thing.
Psyching himself up with a few sweet ninja-like moves, Scott decided to come out punching, and hit the Grow button on his suit, zapping up to a good 7 meters (because Scott, unlike most Americans, was willing to embrace the Metric system) tall.
He walked boldly around the corner, ready for anything at all.
Expect for a cat. In a tree.
Scott fancied he could hear the giggling going on at HQ, even from here.
World’s Mightiest Dicks, more like.
(obviously this pic is AFTER said kitten jumps down from the tree)
Scorpions tale is made the same way I made doc ocks arms. His helmet is an antman helmet.

Spotted a strange insect on a yucca leaf...
I can’t find any example of it in Entmology books... Maybe a new species? Anyone seen it before?

We finally finished decorating our apartment for Christmas today. It went smoothly because we had some help!
Hi man. Ant-man. So you’re part of the secret society WE LOVE MUPPETS too?! Kermit just cracks me up!! lol.. Lucky you got a job during our downtime. Never know when the next gig will be! Anyhoo.. a large popcorn please.
Have been working on this pic I took for a while now. Yesterday, took a pic of Kermit & added him behind my name. Finally feel like it's done. HSS!! :-)
'Tis the season for candy corn! I'm surprised by how divisive this candy is. I've always been a fan (it's amazing with popcorn!). What about you?
An older shot reframed with my now preferred aspect ratio.

PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU FAVE
So, I have a bunch of last ditch posts to make before November starts.
More info on that here: www.flickr.com/photos/142100445@N08/30320504152/in/photos...
LtR:
Aquaman:
I used an Old Rep. trooper torso and legs. The head was going to be used on a Moon Knight, but I like it here. The shoulder pauldron was on a terrible BvS version of aquaman. Not much else.
Batman Armor:
The fig is pretty simple itself, but I found that green wire and used it to make it look like (Bane :P) kryptonite.
Deathstroke:
Major paintjob on this guy. I pretty much just changed all the color on the antman torso and added a few of my own details on the arms. The head was on Quicksilver and so was the hair. So I guess it's quicksilver.
Macro Mondays Hard Light
The 2 Super Heroes are working together to save the world.
They especially like the Hard Light and shadows!!
I've been dying to photograph this Marvel Legends Wasp figure, but was waiting for #jantmanuary_2019 to come 'round. She's so fun to shoot and has quickly become one of my favorite figures!
Thanks a lot to jacobcarlson42 for letting me know about these! Oh my god these are amazing this movie is going to ROCK!!!!!!
I'll often add lens flares to my photos in post, but there's nothing like capturing one in-camera! This was the first successful toy shot with my new Canon G7 X Mark ii
Build Time: 10 Hours
Wasp is a continuation of my study in Brick-Built figures of the Superhuman variety; with here being an emphasis on form. I was really trying to achieve graceful movement, which I think was especially well done in the arms.
Again here, like Wonder Woman, I'm not satisfied with the head--which is just an orb with no face. It's far more challenging to create successful female faces at this scale, and I've only done one successfully thus far (but it's hush hush on that for now). Male heads however...damn, you'll be shocked next year folks. Just saying. It has to do with the fact that female Brick-faces need to be rounded as opposed to squared, which works for males--but rounded is far more challenging at this size. Wasp's scale is also ironically slightly larger that what I want (her legs seem overly long in person, not so much in this image).
Also the obvious part usage is very obvious; but those wings were screaming for someone to do this!
Wow this looks great, it's like they updated the look from the first movie but also added more red!! Awesome!!!
PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU FAVORITE
How 'bout that trailer, huh? Mainly did this to show off my new cap helmet, which is still kind of a WIP since I want to clean it up.

So here's my custom Antman. If you were at BFVA 2015, you might've seen me working on him, and I finally got around to finish him and taking a pic.
I would like to give big thanks to Billy(Billbobful) for guiding me on sculpting the helmet and for providing the procreate used on the helmet.(and to Aaron since I stole his antman for a day or two to base the helmet off of something) The torso/legs was Lego's design, I just went over their red with a glossy red. Everything else was painted by me.
Like I said above, I sculpted onto a Lego's helmet with procreate. The wrist things were procreate too.
I'm honestly really proud of this figure, so if you could leave a comment about this figure, I'd really appreciate it!
I literally opened these @themarianifamily Apricots moments ago; Sugar Antman found them immediately!?
