This is one of the Arabian foals at Marbach and I took this photo in early July. I love the curiosity of the foals. As soon as you sit down in the grass they come over to check what you are doing. Often the only chance to take a photo is a wide angle lens even if the result may be rather funny than beautiful. :)
Mid March and the first day out of the year looking to photograph Kingfishers.
After another successful dive this male Kingfisher climbs away with a Fish.
Kingfishers are widespread, especially in central and southern England, becoming less common further North.
It is estimated that there are between 4,000 and 7,000 breeding pairs in the UK.

I'm an admirer of the architecture of these picnic pavillions, especially with misty waters and fall colors.
One last photo of Antony Gormley's "Another Place" installation on Crosby beach in Merseyside. I couldn't make my mind up yesterday whether the symmetrical or the off centre composition looked best so here's the centralised shot for comparison. It was taken around sunset. I can't help imagining how different these statues will look in stormy conditions, I should imagine they'll be even more dramatic. For now though, I'm glad I had chance to capture them looking so eerily serene and contemplative. I used a Kenkoo ND1000 filter for this photo.
Another unbelievable evening in Northern Michigan! Clear skies and perfect weather for shooting the Comet Neowise and the Milky Way...then I was treated to another surprise showing of the Northern Lights...absolutely amazing, I could have stayed out there all night...
There are always other ways to look at things, sometimes it is the subtle differences that make dreams become realities. I particularly enjoy delving into my archives and discovering these things some years later.
Haven't used my female avi for a while, thought to get her some new hair and skin and then a new photo :)
All elements in this image is from SL (yes, another excuse to buy meself some sakura trees lol)
The roses have started to flower, I was midway through posting when eldest volunteered to help in the garden, gift horse and all that !. Thanks for stopping.
The very beautiful pearl bordered fritilliary. Another butterfly that is again sadly rare in the UK, but thanks to dedicated conservationists there are small local colonies that are surviving against the odds.
Another fountain on our garden walk

Lucky for me the neighbors have not done their weed and feed yet this year so they have a few light catchers for me to work with. Had to capture a few quick images this morning and call it good for the day. Hoping you find beauty in the wildflowers where you are today.
A smaller waterfall in the garden.
