10 youths ponder how they'll look in years to come. Or maybe 10 seniors remember all too well how they were in years gone by. Their visions intersect in this four-screen digital animation.
10 Transforming Youths presents a panorama of youth portraiture and an alternative perspective on the process and concept of ageing.
10 Transforming Youths by Philip Brophy was commissioned by the Public Art Program of City of Melbourne as the inaugural screen-based work for SIGNAL, a creative arts studio for young people aged 13-20 years.
SIGNAL offers creative opportunities for young people to work alongside professional artists across all art forms.

Simon and I spent a part of this morning doing this stop go animation. Had a lot of fun and I'm pretty impressed with the results. Simon just wanted to take loads of photos so he's less bothered but hey, he's four so that's only to be expected..

墨西哥人認為：「我等皆骷髏」（西班牙文：Todos somos calaveras）：除去了外表裝飾，我們沒什麼不同。他們相信，逝者依然活在社會群體的記憶和精神之中，更會在亡靈節期間跋涉回到人間！而連接活人世界和夜總會的，是一條如夢似幻的美麗長橋，顯然這種「奈何橋」的觀念東西皆然。因此死亡顯然並不是終點，反而是另一個生活的開始，即便光怪陸離，也是歡慶鼓舞，唯有盡情大笑才能真正撫慰亡靈！
