Using the QGIS Time Manager Plugin to visualise a couple of hours of Edinburgh's Bus Movements during weekday rush hour (1630-1830h). Time scale - 12 minutes per second of video.
Inspired by this Plugin tutorial
Used QGIS heatmap rendering.
I confess, I had to cheat a bit - I used ffmpeg to generate the final video, rather than exporting directly from the plugin.
Couple of reasons for this...
- the web endpoint I used sometimes returns incomplete data
- sometimes, it doesn't return any data at all, so the frame is black
A video with blank or nearly-empty frames can be difficult to watch. This meant I had to manually replace empty frames to avoid distracting "flashes".
ffmpeg doesn't like gaps in the file numbering sequence, so I copied neighbouring frames over the 'bad' frames.
This is the ffmpeg command I used.
~/path/to/ffmpeg -r 24 -i /path/to/animation/frame%03d.png -c:v libx264 -vf "scale=trunc(iw/2)*2:trunc(ih/2)*2" -r 30 -q 1 -pix_fmt yuv420p ~/Videos/myvideo.mp4
I had to move the png world files (*.pngw) to a backup directory first, otherwise ffmpeg tries to include them. The codec also requires the dimensions to be even, so a scale filter is used to make sure this is the case.
A very limited Japan only repaint of Animated Optimus Prime. Fantastic figure and very hard to find.

My Disney Animators' Toddler Ariel with her hair totally freed from hair bands, and all brushed out. I had difficulty getting her hair right with her standing up, so all the photos are of her lying down.
Here Ariel is shown in a full rear view. It shows how much hair she has. I like that her hair is curly, rather than straight.

This gem came from a thrift store last week that a friend of mine found. It was not priced so she asked and the clerk said $50!!! He is about 6 feet tall and is so awesome. His face lights up, waves and moves side to side.

This is the Megatron that cames in "The Battle Begins" two pack together with Optimus Prime. These versions are Deluxe class and they have "battle damage" finish.
He's the figure that I like the least of all the toyline, by now. The robot mode is no bad, but the alternate mode is terrible.

We’ve put together six unique colour-coded walking routes across the historic city centre that will take you on a journey of discovery to the greatest sights and sounds of London. The 84 official Wenlock and Mandeville sculptures will be in place for two months from mid July to the end of the Paralympics and are part of the Mayor of London Presents programs of free cultural events and attractions being staged across the capital to celebrate the Games.
Mounted on concrete plinths, each fibreglass figure will be 2.3 metres high and weigh one tonne. They have been decorated by 22 designers to reflect their surroundings.
The £490,000 scheme is being promoted by Mayor Boris Johnson, who has overseen similar public art events, including life-sized baby elephants and Fabergé eggs mounted on plinths around the capital.
While I was making my custom Transformers Animated Thundercracker, I decided to go ahead and put some custom heads on each seeker to match their personality and have them stand apart from each other.
Starscream has the Allspark fragment in his head, Thundercracker is pretending to be superior, Skywarp is afraid, and Sunstorm is wearing his G1-esque helmet while he sucks up to the other seekers.
The original resin heads were purchased from TinManA.H. on TFW2005.

Transformers Animated Wasp in his car mode.
This is the version of Wasp after he is accused of being a traitor, but before he turns into Waspinator.
He's a custom made from the deluxe-class Bumblebee toy, and he's got a custom sculpted head along with his unique paint job.
This one (the one I kept) has a bit more elongated face that I prefer.
