ODC 4/30/24 - So Many Angles

The Huracàn looks pretty decent in white.

Rarely will the ice form on the edges of the Willamette River. On this particular day, the wind was absent, and the still water of a cove froze. The sun illuminated the water beneath and the blue sky reflected off the triangle sections. Minutes after making this image, the sun melted the surface ice.

Sunlight flooding into a stairwell in Haggerston School, Hackney.

This stairwell is within one of the original parts of the building, designed by Ernő Goldfinger and opened in 1966.

The circular details in the surface of the concrete wall and the louvred openings in the window are no doubt both design elements from Goldfinger's original plan.

A striking black and white architectural study showcasing dramatic geometric lines and shadows. The composition creates a bold abstract pattern through intersecting angles and stark contrasts.

The clean lines and geometric curves of the Da Lat opera house create an abstract composition. I focused on the play of light and shadow across the structure, simplifying the scene into a study of form and symmetry.

The Design Firm was asked to create a landscape for the home seen in the photos, with a pool, underground garage, tennis court, and guest house. For this project, I went for an angled design, including a simple infinity-edge pool with an angular floating deck above pouring water down into the pool. A tennis court with an upper viewing deck, and a guest house with an angular patio space. This project was all about angles and levels, with stairs joining each space, with complementary finishes to suit the modern/industrial home.

This is the first in a little 'urban' series. I like the light in particular on this one.

I isolated this architectural corner to create a study in pure form. The converging lines and subtle gradations of light transform a utilitarian structure into an abstract composition of light and space.

An unknown 33 heads south on the fast line through Fleet in this 1987 image. Of note are all the angular 1980 vehicles in the car park.

A reflection shot of the side of Bath college, taken during a lovely sunny day a few weeks ago. So many angles going on in this shot.

another shot of the metallic sculpture at the Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, UK in front of the red painted panel.

I think the two pieces complimented one another quite well to give this image. Summer 2016.

live in burrows folding their arms to scuttle sideways down the hole. They run very fast. also known as "mud runner crab"

Brilliant Scuderia spotted on a lovely day. A very annoying car to photograph, this one. Reflections/tones were all over the place.

Tried to reduce the angle as much as possible, lol. Was a mistake I made during the shooting :P Nevertheless, tell me what you think.
