Our second night in Namibia was staying at Hakusembe River Lodge by the Okavango River. Angola is just across the river.

At about 2am I was awoken by this thunder and lightning storm over Angola. We only got a couple of drops of rain. I stayed watching and photographing for about two hours as it very slowly moved across the sky. So nice to be able to watch a storm and stay dry :)

Ambling out of the woods north of Angola, IN, Nickel Plate Road 765 is seen leading the 'Tri-State Scenic' excursion on its return to Edon, OH from Hillsdale, MI. This trip and many others this year are part of the 'Indiana Rail Experience' excursion program taking place on the Indiana Northeastern Railroad.
