After a long drive; we arrived at the Himba village where we would put up our tents for the night. While exploring the village and meeting the local Himba's; we started taking pictures. Some in the beautiful light of the golden hour and some against a black background we had put up. All of the sudden this beautiful Himba woman emerged from her hut. She was not yet aware that we were there and looked a bit surprised. At first, she wasn't interested in anyone taking her picture. Without any expectations, i showed her some photos i already took and went on to take some different shots. She must have had a change of heart because all of a sudden she was standing in front of the black background ready to get her picture taken. I am so happy and grateful that she did 😊🙏 because she just had that certain aura about her, a sense of royalty if you will. That " je ne sais quoi" quality. I think i captured it and i hope you can see it.

I've been to New York many times to visit family, but this is my first time soaking in the city life. I could not believe the exquisite landmarks I visited and their tremendous stories shared. This is one of them.

My first visit to the renowned Bronx Zoo. I only have positive things to say about it. From the natural exhibits to the variety of exotic animals. I will be coming back hopefully for a weeks time to truly soak in this experience. This bucket list is being scratched off.

A picture of a young MUhimba (cousins of the Himbas, famous in Namibia) i took in south Angola; she was dancing and playing with her long dreadlocks. I asked her what she used to make her dreadlocks, she told me she took the hair of her whole family!

We made our last stop as we do each year before the dreaded border crossing back into Canada at Angola NY.

It is a rest stop that spans both sides of I90 with a food court in the middle. It just happened to be sunset time. I ran to the back of the parking lot with the first camera I could find in a jammed packed SUV to grab this shot.
