Headed to East Lancashire this afternoon and visited Rawtensall and Ramsbottom.
The East Lancs Railway had a diesel train running (is a "specialist" railway line running old diesel and steam engines at weekends and peak week days) so we stopped to take a few pics. I had fun trying out my new "mytubo" Android app - loving the vintage effects.
Then we headed over to Rambottom to find the Peel Monument perched on top of the moors. Plan was to climb and take some pics of the views but I'd managed to leave my trainers in the hallyway at home and my ballerina pumps pained me for a short walk over stones. We will revisit Peel Monument one sunny day soon.
