On my way back home today, I decided to stop over at downtown Sunil and walk around the streets. I came upon this shop where it had a mannequin with wings in it. Thought it was interesting and decided to take a shot with my phone.

This scene reminds me of that old TV show in the late 80s and early 90s. Honestly, I have not seen a Rolls Royce Phantom for quite some time.

Visited Napoli and was fascinated by Castel Nouvo near the port. Bought the ticket and went in there and was surprised to find skeletons in the underground fully displayed to the public. I was literally standing on top of this one. Only a glass floor separated between us. That must be a Nqpolitan noble.

The other day I was having lunch at this In and Out. When I got out, I noticed these tall palm trees crisscrossing each other. It was a sight to behold. So I quickly took this snapshot before I took off.

I was looking for a place to finish my roll of Kodak TMAX 3200 earlier this evening. It was getting dark and I had one historical venue that came to my mind. That was Mission Santa Clara. I drove to Santa Clara University and there it was the Mission church sitting in the middle of the campus. I parked my car and walked over to the Mission. Took a few photos of its exterior and proceeded to enter the Mission when I saw its door was unlocked. Once inside, I saw a group of people on stage with their musical instruments. They appeared to be getting ready for their rehearsal. I immediately took a few shots with my film camera. Before I left, I took out my phone and captured this shot. When I drove back home, I still had 4 shots in my roll of TMAX. Where I should I use them on next? Any suggestion is welcome.

We headed to Tahoe today for our Independence Day long weekend. Of course, we couldn't miss the fireworks. We thought we were able to see them right outside of the Heavenly gondola terminal. But we were wrong. The fireworks were not high up at all. I guess the local officials wanted to reduce the risk of fire. When we heard the loud bang, we realized we were too far inland. So we made our way toward the waterfront until we had a clear view of the fireworks.

This section of Brushy Peak is off limit to the public as it is sensitive to the Native American culture. The summit itself is considered sacred by the Natives. We can only get there with a guided tour lad by the park rangers. Really, there is nothing much to see except a pile of rocks and a geomarker at the summit.

We took a detour to our hotel after dinner late in the evening and were pleasantly surprised by the stunning night scenery at Castel Sant' Angelo. We would not forget tonight.

We went past Ranch San Ramon the other day and spotted these purple lupines behind an iron fence. Needless to say, I had to stop and take a photo. I couldn't stick my camera out through the fence between the iron bars, so I had to use my phone instead. This gives you the perspective of my POV.

Can you repeat after me and say the title rapidly? It's a local joke for this place.

I was actually looking at those black and white pictures when I realized those two crisscrossed escalators make a good photo. So I took a snapshot with my phone.

Spotted this lady dressed in dino costume making her round of grocery shopping at Sprouts. I don't recall Comic Con being hold in the Bay Area.

I drove up to Mt Rose summit yesterday and was looking for a restroom due to too much coffee drinking in the morning. When I got to this rest area, the restrooms were all closed. However, the clouds above looked interesting. I took this shot before heading down to Incline Village.

We did an urban hike today in San Francisco. The highest point was here at Telegraph Hill with Coit Tower above us. It almost took us three hours to complete a huge loop back to Fisherman's Wharf.

While we were heading to the Baltic Sea from Skagen, we saw this narrow funnel from the sly that looked like a small tornado. I immediately captured this shot with my phone.

Saw this Eurovan Cafe at the transit terminal of JFK International Airport. It looked very cool and ingenious. So I 've got to take a photo of it.

Just arrived in Houston this evening. We headed straight to the Space Center. Feeling a little hungry, so we ordered drive-thru at this McDonald's. Great to see a huge astronaut in front holding up an order of fries to cheer us up!

Spotted this in Solvang on our way back from Southern California two weeks ago. I just love this town.

We took a tour of the railway museum in Carson City. When I peeked into this passenger train car, I was spooked by this woman's shadow. Turned out it was a Judy Garland cardboard figure.

I found out yesterday that the great Italian composer, Ennio Morricone, had already passed away over a month ago. His musical scores reminded me of many spaghetti western films I had watched when I was a kid. With that fond memories, I headed over to the early Irish settlement in Dublin and did a little photo walk there.

This homestead does look like a "sick boy" as its graffiti suggested. Probably in another 15 years, this would sink into the mud.

It 's nice to see wildlife are reclaiming their land in broad daylight recently. Today I saw a few California quails wandering near our house. When we walked down this canyon, we also noticed this family of deer were having an outing just like us. It 's ironic that it takes a human tragedy for Nature to reboot itself. We have been doing to much damage to this planet far too long.

Saw this unique looking bus parking on the roadside as soon as we entered the town of Pescadero. I actually went past it but had to make a U-turn and come back to take this shot.

This year the local ABC7 was broadcasting the CNY parade Live. We saw these lions congregated together when the dragon approached. Even though I had my Nikon Zf and a 135mm tele with me, I did bother to take it out as I viewing this behind a glass window. I 'd rather use my phone because I could press my phone 's camera against the glass to minimize the reflections. The only things I gave up were the details as I realized there is just too much AI processing to the photos. All in all, there is a give and take to this.

We went past Christian Dior fashion store at Westfield Valley Fair and this mannequin at the window caught my eyes. I suppose this is the latest "work from home" business attire. Seriously, I am partially working from home these days and it doesn't seem like it would change any time soon. You can almost see my reflections on the mannequin. Incidentally, the reflection of the Tiffany & Co sign also shows up on its neck. In any case, this is quite inspiring and I needed to record it.

On our way to Monterey last week, we stopped at Embassy Suites for a restroom stop. I got out of the men's room first. While waiting for my wife, I looked up to the ceiling and saw this seemingly symmetrical geometry of the building. I immediately took out my smartphone for this shot.

I went to check out Oyster Point on Sunday and came across this Genentech office building with very sharp corners. I pondered: what did they do with that space?

If you head over to the 4th floor of Westfield San Francisco Center, you can see this upside down X'mas tree. It 's pretty underneath the dome ceiling.

Took this shot of the night view from Mountain Winery after we were done with the concert. Its amphitheatre is such a great venue having a perfect sound stage. On top of that, we can even bring food and drinks to our seats.

Los Vaqueros Watershed in Livermore has an interesting past. I have read about an 8000-year old body uncovered during the construction of the reservoir. Surrounding this area are the Black Hills of Mt Diablo and Vasco Caves where you could find pictographs, bedrock mortars, and remnants of villages from the pre-Columbian time. Who knows what lies beneath this reservoir. Perhaps ancient villages and human remains?

We came across this interesting tree at Laguna Beach with many pigeons resting on top. They flew in and out constantly to look for left over food on the beach. I saw people walk past cautiously with their hands covering their heads. That's something I don't see very often.

Bought this from Amazon. It actually worked with a mixture of half vinegar and half water in her . The steam shot out from her head once I pressed the nuke button of the microwave. As you can tell from this photo, my microwave is now sparkling clean! Thank you, Angry Mama!

As we walked toward the pier near Batu Pahat this evening, we went past a small Chinese temple. Upon entering it, I could smell a strong incense. Then I looked up and saw these coils burning from the ceiling. I thought they would cool in a photo. So I composed for this shot with my phone.

Swarovski is making crystal Star Wars figures. How cool is that? Not cheap, about $400 a piece.

I saw this Southwest plane approaching San Jose Airport. Just as it was almost above those palm trees, I took out my phone and snapped this photo of it to make look like a vacation photo. It 's proably time for me to take another vacation in a spot with a lot of palm trees.

When I commuted back home in the early evening yesterday, I saw this immaculate quarter rainbow right above Ruby Hill. It was quite a scene to behold as I was coming down from Sunol Grade. I immediately took out my phone and snapped a few photos of it.

I was totally amazed by the monumental constructions by the Incas. These walls were constructed with precisely cut stones stacking on each other. Not a single paste of mortar was used. Can you also spot an alpaca somewhere in there?

Spotted this classic at Safeway in Blackhawk. It looks spanking new!

This is a perfect place to use Night Sight to capture static objects in the dark.

Boarded this passenger train car at the Railroad Museum of Carson City. and all the sudden, I felt old. myself. I sit on one of these chairs and pondered. I still a few more years before I am called a senior. Hopefully I will be done with tech soon. Just getting too tired of the morning calls and commute.

When we saw how quickly this guy made his candles, we were dumbfounded! I really like his craftsmanship.

I enjoyed the free admission at SFMOMA today. Saw this couple staring at the bewildered art piece and they looked like there were trying to figure out what it was just as I did. Nevertheless, I took at shot at them. I had no idea.

Saw this rickshaw duo trying to solicit passerbys for their ride. I don't know how much they charged but they looked very fit. With the pagoda in the background, I composed for this shot with the duo.

Normally, you could see the Golden Gate Bridge from the tower at De Young Museum. But last Sunday, Karl the fog, has decided to came in early obscuring our view. Oh well!

I took this panorama a couple weeks ago when I saw a perfect reflection of the East Bay Hills.

We went to Downtown Houston and checked out its historic district. I thought it was interesting to see the metropolitan highrises behind this historical St John's Church. The low clouds also made a perfect exposure for my shot.
