I took this shot of Anderson lake on a recent Covid-19 Adventure and Picnic to Lillooet, D'Arcy and Gold Bridge, British Columbia. To the right of this pristine lake is a few cabins and to the left is the British Columbia Railway Line now leased to the Canadian National Railroad. Occasionally the Kaoham Shuttle from Lillooet to Seton Portage, a two car passenger train, will come as far as D'Arcy. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Kaoham Shuttle has been reduced to one car, serving only the local people and communities.
The following link is to a short film on the Kaoham Shuttle.

Andersons Bay Cemetery is one of the oldest and most significant cemeteries in Dunedin, New Zealand. Established in 1856, it is located on a hill with views of Otago Harbour, offering a peaceful and solemn environment. The cemetery is the final resting place of many notable figures in local history, including both Māori and European pioneers. It is known for its large number of historical monuments and well-preserved graves that reflect the evolution of burial customs over time. Additionally, it is an important heritage site, with many stone inscriptions dating back to the 19th century. The cemetery is still used for burials and is a popular destination for those interested in the region’s history and genealogy.
The reservoir is on the South Fork of the Boise River and is contained by an earth rock=fill dam. The South Fork of the Boise River originates in the Smoky Mountains north of Fairfield Idaho. Its watershed includes portions of the Smoky Mountains, Soldier Mountains, Boise and Sawtooth National Forests. Below the dam, the South Fork flows into Arrowrock Reservoir.

Anderson Lake
Lillooet Country BC
Canada
The Anderson Lake played a key role on the route of the Douglas Road during the Fraser Canyon Gold Rush of 1858-59.The Douglas Road was a goldrush-era transportation route from the British Columbia Coast to the gold fields. Over 30,000 men are reckoned to have travelled this route untill the construction of the Cariboo Wagon Road (1860), which bypassed the region.
Nowadays the Anderson Lake offers a multitude of recreational activities including swimming, boating, waterskiing, wakeboarding, sailing, windsurfing and fishing.
