Latest found of Stamnaria americana respectively asexual stage Titaeospora equiseti.
Northernmost occurrence at Mur river at time, this population of Equisetum hyemale was free of the fungus some years ago, i had controlled this several times then.
I may not exclude to have brought the fungus to there without apparent infection some years ago, but do not remember certainly.
More description coming later.
After having found this occurrence of Stamnaria resp. Titaeospora, i am SORRY!! for having missed to notice all experiments to transplant the fungus to fitting populations of it's host, Equisetum hyemale.
I do think to remember to have brought infected plants to there, but so far this is right i might not say if i had taken them from a location with ascocarps, or with solely observed asexual propagation.
The shoots collected on 17.05.2016 do appear not to have grown ascocarps before, but i think there should be observable vegetative conidia.
I do attend to send some material to Danny Haelewaters for genetic sequencing and to Zotto, H.O. Baral for microscopic analysis.
