Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is an orange day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Crazy Tuesdays is hearts. This is perfect since we have Mr. Teddy Bear and Princess with us to celebrate love and most importantly Happy Teddy Bear Tuesdays !

As we all know by now, Princess and Teddy Bear are very much in love. But like in many relationships, Mr. Teddy Bear is the most romantic one… He loves surprising his Princess with lovely surprises. This week, he decorated his orange apartment with hearts… Hearts are everywhere and the whole decor screams : love !

But Princess was very confused: Valentine’s Day isn’t in March ! Why all those hearts then ? Why decorating for Valentine’s Day one year ahead ? It is way to early !

But for Mr. Teddy Bear everyday is Valentine’s Day when he is with Princess…. and the 2 just kissed under a beautiful red heart.

But I have a meeting this morning and i need my coffee so I will not be able to continue that story … and it is a family friendly Photostream so we will not be able to see what happens after the kiss ;-).

I wish you all an amazing day !! See you later my friends !!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !!

Enjoy an image of the skyline of Seattle, Washington, USA, a few minutes before sunrise in April 2021.

You can review a reverse timelapse that features this image here. It's in reverse because the actual daybreak was less impressive than I had anticipated. However, when seen in reverse (as though it was a sunset instead of a sunrise), it looks much more engaging.

An old tree on the grounds of the California Yacht Club which caught my eye on my way out to the car park.

"A human being is a part of the whole called by us, universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

The Opinel "Slim No. 10 Olive" is a dead cheap, razor sharp, French made folding knife. Unlike the classic Opinels, the slim line knives feature a highly polished blade.

An angled view a bit off to the side with the central fountain on the right and the multi-leveled stairs to the palace leading diagonally upward. That's the central dome of the palace on the left. People on the stairs look small, but that's just because the palace and gardens are huge. The clouds seem nearly as ornamental as the statues. 16:9 crop. [SNY02793_lr_2000]

... or how to bring colour into a grey world.

This week's theme of the 'Smile on Saturday' group is 'Selective Colour'. I used to love selective colour but for some reason haven't used it in a long time, so I was very happy with the theme. Mousie obviously enjoyed the theme too ! :) HSoS !

This fabled mountain is perhaps the most impressive in Britain, and gives a day of drama and views that will live in the memory forever. The full traverse is a magnificent scramble, whilst the two Munros can be reached by an easier there-and-back route.

The Tonnara of Porto Palmas, Sardinia.

A tonnara in Italian means both the tuna fish factory where the fish were processed and canned and the net trap set into thes ea to capture the passing tuna fishes.

This tonnara was built in 1500 and was operative untill the fifties of the last century. Most of the buildings survived and were transformed into holidays homes.

The flowers are in a bed along the canal path in Erba Park (with the canal just behind me). The strolling couple are on a parallel path at the base of the hill. The lady on the hill is not alone. People are enjoying what's left of the sun as individuals, couples and groups at various spots on the hill. [DSC07817_lr_2000]

In 1999 Hoi An was added to the Unesco world heritage list. The old town was added to the Unesco World Heritage list as a well-preserved example of a Southeast Asian trading port of the 15th to 19th centuries.

Hoi An is a very popular tourist destination.

An unusual obelisk stands on the central square of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra. It was established in 1792 by the famous scholar and church leader - Metropolitan Plato (Levshin). On each side of the obelisk is a medallion with a text explaining exactly what role Laurus played in a given era ...

Many people know the monastery of St. Sergius of Radonezh as the spiritual center of Russian Orthodoxy and a collection of remarkable architectural monuments. But not everyone knows how important he played in the sharp turns of Russian history. And it’s hard to say in which country and how we would live today, if not for this monastery.

St. Sergius taught people primarily love and forgiveness. He himself set an example of humility in the most difficult situations.

Thousands of pilgrims come to the Lavra daily. There are 11 temples in the monastery.

Trinity Church is not the largest in the architectural ensemble of the Lavra, but it is here that the majority of those who came to the monastery are in a hurry. The whole time the temple is open for people to visit, the flow of people going into it does not stop: pilgrims hurry to bow to the relics of the founder of the monastery, St. Sergius.

I got this pic on a 100% cloudy day.

The wind was blowing from behind the bird which made its head feathers flare out.

An old barn along the Kettle Valley Rail Trail near Tulameen British Columbia. I've seen and photographed this barn a few times, but this was the first time that I have seen it during winter. I prefer this snowy shot rather than the brown grass that I have seen around it before.

A grainy photo showing an Inuit camp at night on an island in lake Tasiujaq (formerly Richmond Gulf and Lac Guillaume-Delisle), Nunavik, Canada.

Lake (lac) Tasiujaq drains several large rivers and is bordered on its west shore by steep cliffs (Hudsonian Cuestas) that are the highest in the province of Quebec.

Lake Tasiujaq is a vast brackish water lake with a narrow opening (called the Goulet) between cuestas to Hudson’s Bay. A large volume of water surges through this bottleneck and is driven by the rise and fall of the tides. The powerful flow ensures that the waters of the Goulet never freeze in winter. Lake Tasiujaq is one of the largest natural lakes in Quebec and is included in the boundaries of Tursujuq national park.
