We are looking at the south face of Tofana di Rozes, a peak in the Dolomites of northern Italy. You can see some hikers coming down a steep zigzag trail in the left midground. They are walking on the Alta Via 1, also known as the Dolomite High Route 1, a 120-kilometre-long high-level trail that runs through the eastern Dolomites in Italy.
As we reached the bottom of the Navajo Loop trail at Bryce Canyon, we saw this lonely Douglas fir tree sticking straight up between the rocks.
The Navajo Loop Trail drops down into the amphitheater and passes through "Wall Street," a narrow switchbacked slot between sheer cliffs, with towering Douglas fir trees growing along the trail. The Navajo Loop Trail extends 1.3 miles, starting and ending at Sunset Point, with an ascent/descent of 550 feet.
I visited Elm Bank today hoping to find some poppies still in bloom to satisfy the "poppies" topic for the 122 in 2022 group - thankfully there were still a few blooming! Yay!

Close to the Bit Bazar and not far from the Roman Forum, Thessaloniki. A junk dealer asleep, among all his things - books, pictures, bric-a-brac, antique stuff, household utensils, second-hand clothing and much more. There are no customers.
