One of the finest moments of my life. I sent my group to visit a medicine man in the afternoon and took advantage of the moment to sneak back to the canopy tower with my book.

I spent over an hour by myself, just sitting above the jungle reading, occasionally lifting my eyes from the book to admire a pair of macaws or parrakeets flying by.

Andes mountain range - Day 2: After a quick breakfast (the coffee is awesome), I am heading back to the airport to take the LAN flight (300usd) to Iquitos. On the way we are passing close to the Andes mountain range. Before landing we also get a glimpse of the mighty Amazon River. It’s best if you can get a window seat!

Amazon Research Center – After breakfast we say goodbye to the staff at the ARC, packed up, and heading downstream back to the main lodge. If don’t mind living sharing bathroom, I truly believe ARC is a better experience compare to the main lodge. You can split the stay like I do (2 nights at main lodge, 2 nights at ARC), or just simply go straight to the ARC
