Trail Grid - Inside the grid, the track is cleared from bushes and debris to make the hike easier. However, that does not mean the hike is effortless. Even for the researchers, they also don't enter the grid without the guide. You also need to constantly watch out for these spiny palm trees. The needle is hard and sharp enough that it can even puncture the rubber boot. For most of the time we keep very quiet to avoid alarming the animals. You have to be a little careful with the footsteps not to generate too much noise. It does not take long to see a few red titi monkeys. They are really shy; if you listen carefully you can hear them jumping from tree to tree. To track them down is not easy. They also have very good eyesight so most likely they found us before we found them. We are walking a small loop inside the grid, other than we are able to hear their call, we only see a couple more red titi monkeys while we are finishing up our 3 hours hike
