After some dry days, at last rain in Yasuni National Park, Ecuador Amazon Basin. These Amazon milk frogs (Thrachycephalus cf. typhonius) took the chance to copulate. The male call is very characteristic in this species.

This morning we headed over to the local trailer park. Now when I say trailer park I mean it in the loosest possible way. Yes, they are in fact trailers, but they aren't like any trailers I've ever seen. They are the fanciest and ritziest double wides ever.
Anyway, the owner of the trailer park has been collecting birds for years. It has gotten to the point where it has become a local attraction and they give a "show" every morning. A lot of the birds that they have now have been donated by those who can't care for them. They have everything from a swan from Australia to ducks from all over to parrots and cockatoos.
It was cool to see, as I'm a bit parrot lover, with my favorite being the cockatoo. You are able to interact with the birds and the lady that runs the "show" is really cool and well informed.
Amazon Fresh Delivery, with food fresh from. . . . Pike Place Market?? I guess this is part of the "local, gourmet" products that Amazon Fresh offers

Habitat: Calm, slow-moving areas of large rivers Catfishes
Remarks: One of the most successful exotic species in Florida. Because of their burrowing habitats, feeding habits, and fecundity, potential effects
of Pterygoplichthys invasion include bank alteration and erosion, competition with native species, and disruption of aquatic food chains.
